In indie scrum its all for me. I cliff drive, dive, run away, whatever I need to do to keep everyone else from scoring.
Play for the team:
In team scrum I do whatever to help my team. I kill any and all threats to my teammates. I block and hinder any threats when I can and I always try to score if I can. If I cant I try to pass or do whatever makes scoring for my opponents the hardest. It is a big difference and I think takes more variables to master TS. Goals dont matter as much. Some of my best team scrum games I scored 0 or 1 goals but my team kicked ass.
Play with the team:
Knowing where everyone else is is a factor. Feeling the pass and taking the pass is a big thing. Knowing when to kill and when not to kill... Knowing when to kill a teammate or do dive...
Regular scrum really is a lot different than team scrum.
I almost always finish in the top 3 places when playing regular scrum, and often even 1st with a lot of points, but in team scrum I usually finish with only 1,2 or 3 points. Passing is hard too..cuz a lot of the time it just bounces off and goes to the other team

I've also found team play and individual scrum to be quite different, however, I prefer the team play. Individual scrum relys foremost on the players skills (dodging, weaving, diving, killing, stealing, camping, spawning etc.) whereas team play has many different roles and factors that come into play, such as blocks, passes, covering fire, as well as the usual dodging, weaving, etc. As a rookie player I find it easier to contribute to the game in these extended roles instead of getting my butt handed to be by the pros and their individual swirves and jumps. My advice is to use your best judgement and remember that its not all about bringing the scrum to the goal in TS.

I've been playing single scrum almost exclusively and have improved. I'm near the top of the scoreboard more often. I played some team scrum today and I am exhausted. The differences are huge. Passing is an art in itself. Strategies are very different. I'm having a tough time with the transition.
I'm just plain lousy at TS right now. If you are playing with someone new to TS please have patience and thank you for your encouragement.
To those with team scrum skills: my hat is off to you. TT is truly easy to learn and a challenge to master.
Best $20 I've ever spent for gaming. The $5 I donated for the forum is worth it too.
