Let me remind you all thats it's not a right to play in private servers !
It's a privilege.
If you are asked to do something, Don't ask why, just do it !!!!!!!!!
We Admins like to play as much as all of you do and it's a little hard when you have people all ways asking, "Why you do this or why do I have to do that !"
I do the best I can to try and keep teams even & fair !
Now I will admit there are times when I get to involved in the game and don't notice the teams are uneven !
I am not perfect just say something to me please.
See I have a script installed where it shuts off the score board and the names on it.
So I have no clue who is doing what. I do this to make me a better player !
If you can not take the time to count how many players are on each team before you enter,
then don't bother on coming in !

I do understand though when the server says 9 players and you just want to get in before the last player gets in there so you can play. Its when the list of players says 2 green playing against 3 blue players yet the next 4 Idiots & I do mean Idiots all join as blue and they know dam well that would make the teams uneven !

You want us Admins to help you all have fun games right ?
Well do us a favor and help us have fun games also !
Think before you enter the server please & remember, it's a Privilege to be there not a Right !

Of course it's a privilege... Just like going to visit someones' home. Be a welcome guest.

I was surprised how much of a pain in the butt it can be to admin sometimes, and it makes me appreciate those who are willing to put up with it. It can really take the fun out of playing (when the idiots don't pay attention...)

If this aint the truth, thank you for saying what most admins feel Lonewolf. It seems like there are alot of people that believe they have a right to be in a private server and don't take it as an honor. It's just like LGM said "Be a welcome guest" that is well said LGM. And may I add a short comment here. If the score is 10-1 and the loosing team has 1. And the loosing team has 1 more player than the winning team, please don't whine that teams are uneven, because I'm just gonna pass ya the cheese. We all know how to do this it's sad to see the few that have to come in and only play if they are on what they consider a good team.

Agreed on all points above. I like to play as much as the next person and although I know that I will have to stop now and then to do admin stuff I would rather play than do the other stuff. So please take note of what Lonewolf says above and behave as expected in private servers and just get on with the play, then we will all be happy tankers. XD

Let,s expand on this a bit. It's not the number of players that makes the difference. That's a good starting point.

For example over the past week or so I have played some games where the number of players were even, but the talent certainly was not. The key here is that the scores are relativlt even. What really gets my goat is when the uneveness is made known, and nobody even responds.

Me agreesies. Nothing is more annoying than someone joining ANY server and being a public PITA. Just ask Splam.

Like Nappy said, Its not the amout of players a team has its the quality of players, Say if we had 10 VTs (Or another new clan) against 5 ST/SF/SA or UF ofcourse the bigger and better clan is going to win because they are more experienced.

I said, " don't ask why just do it ! " this is after I had asked 3 or 4 times in normal chat and once in Center Print ! No one was listening so I nuked all of you to get your attention. I then asked again to even up teams and it would be faster just to leave and come back ! No one listened once again, so I nuked all again and asked again for teams to even out (mind you I am also trying to play and help that poor blue team that you guys where stompping a MUD HOLE IN ! ) it was 2 on 4 when I arrived (me being 2) the other 2 were loading still ! Yet the score was like 12 to 3. I played for a bit to see if I alone could make a difference for the Blue team. With in about 2 mintues Blue 3 player showed up so now it's 3 on 4. Not even a mintue later another shows up for the green team and you guys played the last 5 minutes like it was life or death yet it was only 3 of us against 5 of you !

Then in the last 3 mintues another green shows up !

So I can just play for once and not have to take care of stupid little things ! Being a Admin is not as easy as all you think ! All though it does seem to be easy to Admin at night ! Hmmmmmmm

I have been interrupted during some fine matchups because
of nothing more than whining and complaining
Or a request to be admin - geez!
So I stop playing to straighten out some aspect or the other
Whether it's rebalancing the teams or dealing with a scrum wannabe

Its pretty simple really, join the game on the losing side. If the game is not a good one adjust during game.

The problem is that the Join Game GUI doesn't show scores... D'OH!

I am tired of people asking to be admin, pestering me with dumb questions etc! If I silenced you I have a good reason, keep rejoining to get un-silenced and you will get kicked. If I kicked you, I always have a good reason and if I banned you, don't follow me from server to server asking to be unbanned! YOU WON'T GET UNBANNED THAT WAY! .

Also, if you are silienced, NEVER push me off cliffs while I am typing to get attention! There is nothing that gets me more annoyied!

My point is that the servers that I admin are like "my home," do bad/annoying things and you will lose the privilege to come to my house!

I have simply cloned my self an extra brain lobe to take care of the admining responsibilities in the background.

It is somewhere between the occipital lobe and the temporal lobe. Now I can play and admin at the same time with no problem!

No one should have ever admitted to be an admin in the first place. I get asked all the time if I am. Whoever let the cat out of the bag......... 8o

Well... Don't need an extra brain to admin, because on my server no one comes, so I only have to admin bots. W00t!!! XD

I understand how hard it is to be admin, but there is an easy way to eliminate most of the whining about teams:
Enable Teamchangers!!!!!!
This way people can even the teams themselves without pestering the admin.
Is there any reason these are disabled on Scrumbag? (well I think theyre disabled on scrumbag, but maybe im thinking of roo's server).
