Hre's a question for ya; what do think is better, sneeking up to a certian point and sniping someone at medium distance, or tryin' to sneek all the way up behind themand unload a few clips into thier back-side? :o

Nice. Yah I guess your right. I was just thinkin' bout it and I was curious to see other peoples thoughts. But, like you said, it's all about the conditions. Thxs for the input.

Hey mum,

You dont know me, hi im scotty ;) I have some experiance in the sniper business, and I got a few points for ya:

1. When going after someone with tiny ufo: get as close as possible. Air attack is the best thing you can do, but if thats not possible, try to stay behind something and at the right moment, jump out. Like nap said, it depends on their skill, and their reaction time.
2. When going after anything but a ufo: Again, air attacks are the best surprise, but if thats not possible, consider their skill compared to yours, and take action when they look away.

Sniping is a very hard thing to do, I like the ambush way (go as fast at them unloading your gun, and hope they shoot high lol) but there are many other ways. Watch the other vets, they all have different techniques. Maybe one is right for you XD ;)

@ napalm

I appreciate the kind words, but I am not that highly skilled. I am more of a "go in with all guns blazing and hopin' they get freaked and run" kinda guy. I need to refine and hone my skills alot. I'm gettin' there, though. As to the name, I was sittin' with some friends in a parking lot, we got bored, and started makin' nick names for each other. After some disscusion, we decided on the name "Dark Mumke". You just mess up my name a little and there you have it.( It was about 2 years ago, but I chose to keep the name. Lol)

@ Scotty

I do believe I may have fought you or with you within the last week( actually probably you and napalm) and I have seen you play. You are a good player, and I respect both yours and Napalm's skills. He is right though, this is more of a disscusion thing goin' on, though I appreciate any tips that you or anyone else might have.

Thx guys hope to see you on the killin' fields soon.

Nah, I haven't been doing any league play. I'm kind of a loner. I would enjoy playing league but I think that I would be gone for many of the games. As to the location, I live in Rudolph (yes, our welcome sign has a deer with a glowing nose :( ), Wisconsin. I'm 14, so I live with my parents. I have some trouble getting the computer at night or during the day due to the fact that both of my parents work at the university. But, hey, we have 2 computers.... I think I'm going to buy TT for this computer. They never use it.

Back to tactics. Yes, I do prefer using a area affect at close range. Much easier to hit someone. But, I don't object to Long-range bombardment warfare.

Chicage, huh? Sorry if your a bears fan, I don't like them a ton. I did like the Broncos for a while, but my dad threatened to kick me out of the house. Lol. I have played you more recently on Lepored' Lair(no wonder my grammar sucks). I was suckin' it up that game, but hey, it was fun. By the way, are you joing Team Lite. I was planning on bein' a backup. Wanted to scrap some heavies and I would like to see you and scotty boy here join up.

Try sniping them when you areon top of a hill, unload 2 clips then pelt it down the hill so that they will miss you when they fire back. Then charge at them full speed and they should be nice and dead pretty quickly. ;)

There are as many different styles of play, as many different tactics as there are players. It comes as no surprise to me that the best advice so far has come from Scotty: watch the vets.

The principles of intelligent playing are every bit as important as the actual hands on process of developing superior technical skill. Speed and accuracy are essential, but only in the context of having an intelligent strategic awareness of every aspect of the game. Know the map; Pay attention to the current locations and positions of all the other players (use your radar); And above all else...most important of all, to whatever extent possible: Don't let your tank be exposed.

If a real shooter can see you, you're dead.

Real shooters are poised and ready to fire at a selected target from a discreet hiding place before they stick their neck out. Know where your target is; Know where other shooters are in relation to your location. If you get the advantage of pinning down a target, be patient and don't waste a whole clip after they've already darted behind something. Hold your position and concentrate on the plane, left and right, where you know they must move to be able to see you...When they do look around to return fire, if you're cool, calm and collected, you will succeed because you have the advantage.

Remember: If a superior shooter can see you, it's probably too late.

Id say sniper im perfect at snipering in the goodfellas mods

Once the people were so far I couldent see them on the radar and I went on the corner of a trench and I looked closely and I couldent see them but I used my instinct to kill all 5 of them

I was using speedy powerup and I was using the reticle and where theyre names were to kill them

New mod, Vulcania 2 and Death Valley are way bigger than the 12 normal arenas and have way more diverse features and no fog. This provides better sniping conditions than normal. The only sniping I do is usually on spawn points, but I've found excellant sniping positions in Volcania.
