What do you say we start playing some friendly, one-on-one games for money? Let two players decide between themselves what map, what game, what stakes, etc.

Hypothetical: I'll put up $10. Missed Me puts up $10. We play on a Lush terrain, with bots, nothing special. One game of indy scrum. Winner gets paid via paypal.

Like shooting pool in a bar.

If one player is real good, the other gets odds.

What do you think?

Edit: I reckon you get 5 or 6 players in... Better money and a more challenging game. Also means you don't have to put in as much money for the amount in the winners pot.

Money should be deposited before to a 3rd party.

Suggestion:
'A' & 'B' each send $10 to 3rd Party escrow.
($10.00 will net about $9.40)
'A' wins.
3rd Party refunds 'A' (With PP you can refund a payment at no fee to the sender.)
and send 'B's $9.40 to 'A'.
($9.40 will net you about $8.80)
Thus 'A' makes about $8.80 net.

Thus would prevent unpaid stuff and the ensuing drame.

And hugo volunteers to be said 3rd party.

I'm not going to be around for this... But you better make sure you don't get some 8 year old joining in... Even if he does have a paypal account. Can't imagine their parent's being pleased at them gambling on t'internet.

Leaving for a business trip tomorrow morning...gone til friday night. But, please keep this alive. I think we could have some fun playing for a bit of cash. Maybe an indy scrum server where it costs $1.00 to get in...winner, on a full server, collects $10. Tie game...cash rolls over into game #2 and winner gets $20. Could get interesting. Winner gets paid, no matter what. Cheaters get banned and can't play again.

I must admit I'm interested in the idea despite the fact I generally don't like gambling but hey!

If you're evenly matched with all your oponents you have a 1 in 10 chance of winning!!!!

Way better than any lottery can claim and slot machines are rigged anyway.

Thus far I have never gambled, much less enterred a casino, but I know I've got a thousand times better chance to win at this than Powerball.

How about we ask one of the hosters to put 1vs 1 server ,with 1 small and fun map (lush).
We can send each other e-mails with time and details , or just meet in there and agree on details.
And one more think , if we play for 10 $ a game ,the looser will send 5$ to the winner and donate 5$ to the special account witch will be for supporting PTT and centralized servers for leagues and games.(it means that actually winner will donate it ,but this way we can save on transfers)

I'm along side you on this, this is a good idea, but we would need to work out which of the suggested systems above to use, or all of them in seperate servers.
