I have always looked a bit young in appearance, and probably always will. It can be both good and bad. It's good because, well, who really wants to look old? :) but it can be bad because sometimes my youthful appearance causes me not to be taken as seriously as I shoulld.

As far as looking slightly asian, I've been told that before. I'm not sure why that is.

Something seems to be wrong with ALL of the pictures you are uploading. I'm once again unable to get anything below the neck to load. Don't get me wrong, I do pay attention to what's on top as well...and it looks like you probably have a pretty face (although the biting makes me a bit nervous). But, it's frustrating that these pictures continue to freeze at the neck when they are loading.

Is anybody else having the same problem? Is it the host perhaps? Maybe you are using some conservative, Christian web hosting company? I don't know, but I'm getting a little upset.

Please check into it. I'll keep hitting refresh for as long as I can and keep fingers crossed.

Hey 44, think I've discovered your problem. I was searching through the old threads and came across Gnomie's set-up. You might be on the same service as he is.

Hoping to gain some insight, I took a cue from Tally Ho & Jangles and hooked up with Gnomie on a video conference to see how he resolved his connection issues.

Sadly, this was all we were able to accomplish in 2 hours. He was still in the process of loading TG's nose.

Maybe this will help. Check your TCP/IP settings and switch from Boy Scouts to Girl Scouts. Then head into your browser and make sure you accept their cookies. You know how Girl Scouts are about cookies!!! Think of it as a bribe. Your speeds should really improve.

EDIT:

Something about this thread strange. At least for me. If the animation on this and my last post isn't running, try opening the image in a new window. It should work fine that way.

Actually I did try the Use Girl Scouts option under TCP/IP Properties, but it didn't work - not compatible with the Boy Scouts my ISP employs apparently, although you'd think they'd be able to get something together wouldn't you. It's to do with the colour of the flags, they said, but I'm not sure I believe them. They also said I'd have to pay an extra Cookie Charge if I wanted Girl Scouts, but the damn setup is expensive enough as it is. This does suggest you might be right about getting better performance with Girls though, I agree.

Also, for anyone else using IFP/BS or (you lucky people) /GS - look under Advanced... and make sure you've selected 8-Scout troops and not 7-Scout - all the pictures came out in black and white whenever I tried 7-Scout, for reasons I still can't fathom. Somebody said there was a good chance of all seven scouts being colourblind, so that's probably it. Another good reason for using Girls I suppose, if only they weren't so damn pricey.

Here's an update on my picture since the one where I have a cold seems to have be lost.

I was also looking for a picture to practice texture wrapping with and Katherine's picture was perfect for it. I eventually came out with this demon-looking thing... I think it's cool. (I did the eye colouring since it just seamed to fit)

Syntax looks fine PEST, just checked. You must have the url wrong somehow :(

Also note, if its a jpg, a gif or a png, you dont need to bother with the IMG tags. Just typing in the full url should show the picture.
