What does your message.cs.dso script do, and where do I put it?

Thanks!

Message.cs.dso? What's that? *Pulls out TT install folder and Notepad*

Hey! I don't have that! What gives here?

Heh... That's not ready for prime time yet, I don't want everyone getting used to the way that works. Give me a couple days, and I'll get an updated version up. : )

Oh the mystery....

I found it! YAY! And, I have read it over, and..... *jumps out window, emerges with message.cs.dso* see! Muhaha! I HAVE POWER!

Hey, guess it's not good that I have found, and/or somewhat know what it is, right?

Please contact me if you want me not to use it.

Feel free to use it if you can figure out how to. :)

It'll just work a little different in the near future, so I'd rather not bother explaining how that version works.

How do I activate it? I found out what it does. Also, do I have to put it in a specific place?

Please answer this time.

YES I KNOW THAT IT DOES THAT RACER AND NATHAN BUT HOW DO I GET IT TO WORK WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TALK TO ME THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING THAT I HAVE TO ASK ABOUT 6 TIMES TO EVERYBODY AND THEY STILL IGNORE ME! ANYONE! I KNOW THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO, BUT YOU HAVE TO SPEAK OR ELSE I WILL PULVERIZE YOU IN TT AND HAVE NO MERCY IN REAL LIFE IF I HAPPEN TO MEET YOU IN A GROCERY STORE IN MY STATE, WHICH PROBABLY WON'T HAPPEN AND I PROBABLY WON'T RECOGNIZE YOU ANYWAYS, BUT IF I DO HAPPEN TO RECOGNIZE YOU OR SOMETHING, I WILL PULVERIZE YOU! AND FURTHERMORE, I AM ALWAYS BEING IGNORED IN TT BY EVERYONE WHO'S A COOL PERSON! WHY MUST YOU ALL DO THIS TO ME?!? WHY?!?!? I MEAN, I'M ALWAYS NICE AND POLITE TO EVERYONE, BUT THEN THEY COME UP TO ME AND SAY EXTREMELY RUDE STUFF, WHICH I WON'T PRINT HERE FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE! BUT I MEAN, COME ON! EVERYONE DOESN'T HAVE TO IGNORE ME! I'LL BE REALLY NICE TO YOU! YOU'VE GOT TO BELIEVE ME ON THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem*

Wow, that felt good. Read all of it.

Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 5:17:09 PM

Maybe someone should tell the nice people.

Good night everyone. <----- OT ALERT!

Yeah, it's a client side only ignore script. So if someone is bothering you on any server, you can put them on ignore, and you won't see their annoying chat anymore.

Give me a couple days, and I'll get an updated version up.

Hmmm.... The new version is broken on the mac. :( I'll try to get on a mac to figure it out on Monday. :)

Once it works, I'll put it up with proper instructions on how to install and use, and you guys can test it for me. Can you wait that long?

Thanks for lighting a fire under me to get this done spunk. XD I'm not ignoring you, I just want it to work right before it gets out there too much...

Yeah, you can turn it off as easily as you turned it on. They will still see your chat, unless of course they ignore you...

It snowed here today. :) Paco and I built a snowman:

The arms are hard to see in that picture, but they were up in an angry/anguished pose. XD

But that means I wasn't able to go and visit a Mac to do my OSX debugging. :( Spunky, do you use a Mac or a PC?

How many times do I have to say that I have a Mac!

And 56k - I still don't know how to work it!

EDIT: I know this doesn't have to do with the subject at hand, but WHAT THE FRICK IS WITH MY TT?!?!? Look:

I swear on the shoes of my grandfather's uncle's cousin, this is NOT EDITED! And that's a mighty big swear there!

I'll be glad to test the updated version.

There is a client-side lag thresshold:

$Pref::Net::LagThreshold = "400";

In the game/client/prefs.cs file. This will prevent any server with a ping of >400 from being displayed in the list.

Occasionally, eg if you are in the process of downloading email or something, the server query might take too long to retrieve the data and all the servers will have a ping > 400 so none will show up in your list. A quick refresh normally cures it.

I saw that same scene yesterday... Don't know when you took that picture, but garagegames.com was down for me for a little while yesterday. That included the master server that tracks all the games.

I said it wasn't ready for mass release, since I didn't want everyone to get used to the way it works now. But then everyone started to post links to it as if it was ready to go. So I took it off off the site. You know how everyone types "ufo please" instead of "/ufo"? Well I don't want the same thing to happen with ignore.

@spunky: "allow "... But that will not be the command in the next version. Also note that ignore only lasts until you quit TT.

Do I need to delete my old script?

Tuesday, January 06, 2004 at 5:46:55 PM

Awesome. I love it. It works a TON better than the old one.

No bugs here! Everything works smoothly.

@Race

I would, because this one ROCKS ABOUT 10000X MORE!!!!

Thanks 56k! I have sent you an e-mail saying my thanks!

@Spunky

Thanks.

@Lag Man

I LOVE IT!

Tuesday, January 06, 2004 at 6:12:43 PM

Cool, glad you guys like it. Make sure you test it on folks with wacky crazy letters in their names. I haven't been able to check to make sure it can get them all.

@Racer: You don't have to delete the old one, but you might as well. :)

Hmm. Saw your site. What is the point of the scores pics? The game automaticly puts the highest at the top and the lowest at the bottom, so 5, 4, 4, 4, 3, 3, 3, 2, 1, 0 is quite common.

Love the script by the way.
