Anyone here like to play around with Microsoft Paint (Unsure what all you mac users have pre-installed with your computer...). Sure, there are tons of professional graphics design programs out there. But, none can come close to the handiness and simplicity of MS paint. All those big-time programs just can't compare. I love how much detail you can attain using MS paint. I'm talk'n pixel by pixel! I can't stand how complicated other programs are with "opacity", "antialias" and countless other little boogers. Sure, there ARE a lot of times where you need those details, and they CAN come in very handy. But for everyday stuff? MS paint is ready and waiting. And that's yet another drag. Waiting and waiting for PSP or APS to boot up. (Hope "Windows Vista" and dual processors clear that up! Can't wait!) Not to mention the memory they consume. What else? How about those random crashes that can happen due to an unexpected error or something. You lose all your work if you didn't save it! I've had that situation happen to me countless times. There is just so much to those programs that almost anything can trigger a slip or error. I guess I'm saying, sometimes simpler is better. I can easily whip up almost anything with MS paint. Very trusty application! Love it!

Examples of what I've made only using MS paint:

Whip up this in M$ paint.

Those are good for M$ paint, but nothing compared to what I can do in paint shop pro.

^^ I'm most definitely NOT denying that. A lot of professional programs can dish out some SERIOUSLY cool stuff. Hey, believe me, I've been there. In fact, I've fully payed for PSP and use it all the time in my advanced work. I also use it to do TT skinning. And boy ho boy, it makes a world of a difference than trying to use MS paint. I just talk'n about on the spot and in general. It's not likely that you'll be catching me using PSP, APS, or GIMP just to put together a few fine lines. My analogy? MS paint and a professional graphics program are like motorcycles and bicycles. You can just jump on a bicycle and go. Nothing complicated, nothing needed but your strength. For a motorcycle, you need keys, gas, and gear. Bikes are perfect for short distances and simple tasks. However, a motorcycle is more practical for going long distances, traveling at high speed, and totally blow'n people off the track! XD

EDIT:

@ Racer445:
I suppose you missed my point...

THAT, my good pal Racer, is for PSP (Or whatever Pro-program rox your sox.)!

Ta-da!

I didn't miss your point. I am just saying M$ paint sucks compared to other programs.

And that doesn't look close to my skin, LOL.

I like drawing pictures in paint when I'm on a PC... You can do lots of stuff in zoom view... XD

^ Lolz! I hear ya bro! Funny you should mention that. That's my favorite method. :) Once you're zoomed, just throw a couple of dots and colors together, zoom back out, and it looks ten times better! XD ;)

And yes Racer, I admit, you smoked me :'( !

I made a diamond-plate pattern (32x32) and set it as my wallpaper. Now, my Windows desktop at least looks like it can resist any virus... I'll post it later. It only took me 5 minutes.

@ Fuji: Thanks man. I admire your ability to notice detail. Lolz. Yeah, I kinda tried something new, stuck with it, and add that style to almost all of my work. Wanna know the funniest part about how I came to doing that? It all started when I began saving my work as.gif files in MS Paint. Problem? Yeah... BAD idea. It horribly (and I mean HORRIBLY!) reduces your work to 256 colors. So, I decided to just work in 256 colors... And just that. Then, when it came to saving, it didn't alter anything. Ahh, just the way I like it. Of course, if I did all my work in.bmp (Bitmap), there wouldn't be any problem or reduction in quality. That's what most save as. I suppose I just liked the challenge of making things smooth and blend as easy as possible with few colors. (And believe me, that's easier said than done. Blending when doing pixel art is MUCH easier when using 16 million colors! Lolz!)

@ Racer: OMG! That is absolute MADNESS!

@ Goocutemon: Who was that at? Me or Racer's previous post?! Lolz!

@ DJ Wings: Oh man! You had me laughing! I love your virus comment! Lolz! I would like to see that! I wish I could say the same for my diamond-plate series. *tsk tsk* I didn't make the pattern... I mean, common! It takes long enough to skin as it is! XD

Set it as your wallpaper and tile it. It looks sweet.

Dude, you just like, totally flattered me!

I'm not sure how good it really is or how it compares with others, but, by all means, go right ahead! Just click my name and go to my skin library (Maybe check out my other ones while you're at it... Even though they were my first ones and are rather cheap/ripoffs),...or you could just click here . XD (Download and use all the files for best apparence, like in the preview.)
