... What is the point?

I'm all for free speech and I'm not being partisan about Israel/Lebanon/Hezbollah issues. But it seems to me that this is needlessly incendiary and out of place in a games community. I suspect the person who came up with this handle is politically uninformed and, perhaps, juvenile.

I've seen variations on this theme come up from time to time and it has always irked me.

I'm with you Jacques, we do have wars here, but this is only playing, I have my own thoughts about the middle east but that has no place here on a cartoon tank game.

Except that there are tanks in the Middle East wars. But that's a minor detail. I agree with this, too.

Well, like I said, Scythe, I don't bring this up to be political. I agree that this war is horrible but perhaps we should save that discussion for another thread...

Israel targetted 2 flat buildings yesterday, they murdered 63 people among the victims were 31 children. Where is the honor in that?

I didn't say there was any. Just because I'm Jewish doesn't mean I have to go along with everything Israel does. Say, Kadima's supposed to be centrist, aren't they? Then what the hell is Ehud doing slaughtering innocents in a crusade against terror?

@jacques - See, that's the catch. If you really support free speech, then that means the jerks, the insensitive and the instigators all have a platform as well. Hezbollah isn't profanity and perhaps the user chose that handle to show his support the cause. There's really not much to do about it.

Plus, if you don't allow "HEZBOLLAH" in your server, you shouldn't allow "Israel" either...or "Pinko"...or even "SupportOurTroops."

^ Well, not really. As we've already covered, a private server isn't covered by any sort of "bill of rights" so to speak, so its up to the whim of the hoster. Perhaps not in line with anyone's idea of "fairness", but those are the breaks. ;)

I think the line is drawn where the person who chooses to come into a server with his name as "hezbollah" is doing so with the sole-intention of pissing off other people.

When ever I see him,, his name is changed to Bubbola XD Thought maybe he would get the hint.

Scythe, was an alright post, you're welcome to back-up the sane people in the "WW3" thread...

So so true... Heck, the bill of right's doesn't even apply in public schools!
