Just curious as to what happened to BC's indy banlist server.

Yeah, a lot of the time it was the only decent indy place to be. In fact, I hoped it would someday be served from a Cray at Fermilab. We missses it.

You think Bc's still stuck in the depths of the brewpub?
$1 a pint day, I heard.

^T'was a grand time at the brewpub. XD

The server was listed on the current games page this morning but not at Gnometech or in the game console. This afternoon it was gone from all three. :(

I fear the good times in the MI: Banlist Lush Indy server are over. :[

Well that's the most disappointing thing I've heard in a while. The SW servers have been reduced to the same sort if talk I use to hear in the bars. Indy scrum isn't as much fun as it used to be for me either. Time to move on.

@Memphis. Time to move on? Now let's not go crazy. Calm yourself. We'll get this figured out. Don't be rash. You go say some prayers, I'm gonna work on BC.

@BC. OK. OK. What's it going to take, BC? $30? $40? I know what you're up to...and I'm willing to pay. I think this is the wrong way to go about it, but you hold the cards, big guy. Name your price.

What will it take? Is it the naked pictures?

It's kinda sad that only one server existed to actually allow decent unmodded indy scrum. In fact, even modded indy scrum is dang rare. I could dig out my old SE30, I guess, and figure out how to open up the ports on my router, and... Nahh, nvm.

Seriously, how do you serve games through a router? I'm sure if you explained it in real simple terms, I could try it, although my ADSL ain't too robust.

I may have to take the shrinkwrap off Halo soon.

I admit I was yanking you guys around a bit. :)

The Mac mini in dash's Michigan data center finally quit responding. Nine months without a reboot is pretty good. I was already planning to test my new 10/1 home cable connection so this has hastened my progress.

The MI: Banlist Lush Indy server is dead. :( Thanks dash, for all the great bandwidth you provided for it. :)

Long live the IA: Banlist Lush Indy server! XD The ping should be about the same, but there may be hiccups because its just a consumer-class connection. Feedback will be welcome. Play on fellow addicts. %)
