What version did you DL.windows, mac or linux. What is your box's OS? Little more description would help. I use gimp in linux and have it for windows too. Nice little program.
Mac ibook g4, OSX 10.4.5, Gimp Version 2.2.10. I have installed the X11SDK.pkg, but it still won't start up.

You have to have GTK Radiant thing as well that should fix your problem look for the download on the gimp site.
I had that same problem PGG, and I was only able to fix it a few weeks ago. I think that our OS already has a more current version of X11 installed and downloading a "new" version only screws things up more. I trashed everything I had about X11, and Gimp started up fine....kinda weird but it's working for me now...

Hmm... Will try that. I am probably just going to spend $20 to get PSE2 or 3... Hmmmm

Ok, so I thought I shoudl finaly DL gimp. I just couldn't remember why I hadn't done it before. Then I remembered- It doesn't want to open. I am sure it's me who is doing something wrong, I just can't figure out what. I click on the happy icon, I go "oh please oh please oh please", it does the font cache thing, and then says it needs X11 to run. I have installed the x11sdk.pkg like, three times, and it still does nothing. Can anyone help me?
