Yup same thing happened to me LW said it was working that it was me but it truly wasnt I tried going to the first page and editing almost every possible thing and nothing. So I had to start a new thread
The functionality is more benficial than detrimental, preventing a poster of an edited comment (due to bad content) from simply reposting over the edit. Sure, they could just post a new comment, but new comments are easily picked up and spotted, edits are not.
I have been meaning to add in functionality which gives the mod editing a comment the option of 'locking the comment' or allowing future edits, but I have been far too busy with work to get a chance - especially as the only computer I have at the moment is the one at work.
Really, mods shouldn't edit a header unless it's an inappropriate post. This way the O.P. Can edit it freely. If there are link problems or gramatical ones, they can be pointed out to the OP in a comment and deleted once the O.P. Has edited his own post accordingly.

Now I have noticed that this rule and power bestowed on mods has been in effect for quite some time, but it has oddly affected some of my big posts. For instance, if a mod edits my main forum post (I believe that's called a header), does that mean I can no longer edit it myself? I have had mods change some errors in some of data lists, because I forgot to update it in my common absences. Now when someone asks me to change it, I can no longer even edit it, having many of the people who are asking me to change it, bewildered. Is there something you can do about this mods or admins?
