Combat golf? Wow, I might be interested in a sport like that! Wait wut was tat last part?
Note: The subject of this thread isn't exactly correct. There is actually a computer golf game that you can play that includes ammo and weapons! You use them to blast monsters that get in the way of your game on the golf course!
Geeze. I pointed out that TT wasn't fun anymore a year or so ago and everyone jumped on me, including the developers. Now this is what, the "cool" thing to do?
What a crazy world.
<---admits gaffeage with regularity.
I dont get all these freakin' whiners
Anything in life is what you make it...
At some point you must evolve with the game or die
And just for the record it still fun for me and I am near my 2 year anniversary
Heh! Heheh! Heh! Heeeeens!!!
@Ho
Thanks for being HOnest, but truth be told...you make less gaffs than anyone else in the game!

The hot topic these days on PTT is how boring or unsatisfying the game of ThinkTanks is. Well, I want to focus on what brings most of us back again and again. Obviously, the best part of the game is the community (people) behind the cartoon tanks. The other main reason that keeps us all coming back for more is that it is just like the game of golf: it is impossible to master either game! No matter how long we play the game and despite how great we become in TT, we will still make mistakes or do things that could have been done better! It's because the game is not just a computer or a bunch of bots that we can master in time, but actually an ever changing and evolving environment. No two games are exactly the same, even if both teams have the same players and they use the same map/mod, the game will be very different. Every player impacts the game tremendously, whether it's indie or team. It is like the butterfly effect theory that stated a single butterfly can generate enough wind movement with its wings that can become a hurricane on the other end of the world.
It's also frustrating like golf because even the best of the best (like Tiger Woods) will shank a shot or blow a put. In TT, even the greats like Bolo will actually make a gaff! Tally Ho will actually pull a bonehead play...CADC will Leroy a goal on ocassion too. They might never admit it or confirm their imperfections, but deep down they know that there is always room for improvement. Always! The minute you convince yourself that your game is perfect then it's time to call if quits.
Hey, I still make embarrassing mistakes for no reason at all. For example, I was tied for the lead in indie scrum and I had an easy FB sitting in front of the goal and no one around me for miles. Well, I proceeded to do my best Jerry Lewis (or younger readers out there, Jim Carrey) impression by driving into every single rock in front of me and not only lost the goal but the game as well. Doh!!! But I love the game!!!

There's also a book called COMBAT GOLF !
