Hehe ive been to both places, a couple years ago I went up with my family to visit some realitives up in washogal (dont know the spelling), its right off of the Columbia River Gorge. Really nice places up there, beautiful landscape driving up from here in the bay area.
I've been at that waterfall in winter. It was partially frozen over, and I have a beautful photo of it--I'll post some time soon, it's on the desktop.
You're a Portlander?
Do the people in that panorama know that you're using a secret sruveillance program on them? What about their 1st amendment rights? Like...right to not have your soul stollen by a camera!
Sluggy,
Lived in Aloha, Yamhill, Hermiston, and La Grande. Got married on the rim of Crater Lake (1500' cliff to the water). Wifes from K. Falls.
I kind of know the area a little bit.
One of my favorite places that I've everbeen is Lake Wallowa next to Enterprise.
I've got pictures of those places! Sluggy is right, the Pacific Northwest is beautiful. I spent a week in Welches, OR last year. Took the scenic drive along the Columbia River Gorge. Drove up to Mt. Saint Helens one day. Also spent a couple of days driving along the coast.
This year we spent a week at Whistler, BC. Not quite as many places to visit as far as scenic drives, parks, etc. But still very pretty. I have some photos from that trip available here .
There is still a lot left to see up there and I hope to make it back.
Cool!
I have been to Multnomah Falls before... When I was real little... Kinda boring... :P
Great job sluggy :)
Nice pictures Sluggy. Looks like lots of good hiking up there, eh?
Great pic's slug,
and MJ!!
I'm pleased you enjoyed the panoramas.
Today I intended to work on some more photos.
Clyde had his own opinion on how I should spend my time

Excellent work on both of those Slug! I like visiting up there but usually don't have the time to see all the sights. Next time I'll have to make my stay a bit longer...

For those of you who have never been to the Pacific Northwest here are two photo panoramas I am working on (reduced for convenience).
This is a nine element, 150 degree panorama of the Columbia River Gorge as seen from Vista House on the Old Columbia River Highway. The full sized photo is 91 inches wide.
This second is a four part panorama of Multnomah Falls, a scenic place on the gorge. The full sized photo is about thirty inches tall.
Both of these locations are within thirty minutes of my home.
