Anyone here huge on programming? I recently took up C++ and it sure takes a lot of dedication if you know what I mean! Sometimes it is hard just to get myself to do it because it feel like work!

I'm huge on programming... C++ and TorqueScript... I would highly recommend Pangea Software's Ultimate Game Programming Guide for Mac OS X. It has fantastic example code on the CD, and even how to make your game 3D!! :D

Q&A:
Q: Aren't you gone?
A: Yes, but I felt an urge to post here. Bye again now.

@ Freak

I know what you are saying. I did a course at university whist I was doing engineering and I tried real hard but my brain just didnt get it (C++). Its weird - some people pick it up like a second language but others like me dont. So I did mechanical engineering instead and now use big spanners, and big hammers instead of computers. :P

Heh! Glad to hear I'm not the only one that has trouble with it. It looks like so much fun (and I know it is for some) but every time I try, I just can't seem to catch on :S. It is really annoying ;).

Geek Legion might be right for you. Check out Armies Forums. I'm trying to learn C++, especially after getting GCC with Linux, along with Glade Interface Developer, but I'm still stuck on Java. I've been a Turbo Pascal whiz since I was 10, though...
