Hmm, what distinguishes the two flags?
Seems easy in theory
spawn two scrums one for each goal
and test if both scrums are in one goal in order to score...
Yea but how do you check for 2 flags?
I know
If (%tank.getFlag() != -1)
But for 2 how do ya do that?
Mybe Dash or nap knows how do this?
About the flags.
Ok in your base you will have a flag in middle of the base mybe you can put it in a room or something and the other team has the same. U take other team flag take it back to your base with you flag still there go though your teams flag with you carrying other teams flag to score then the other team flag will retrun to there base. Now if both teams have each other flag no one can score intill the flag is retruned back to there base. I hope this helps :o
Like um other team has your flag and you have there flag. You guy kills the other teams flag carryer he drops your flag after u pick up flag the flag will retrun back to your base with out u carrying it back. Then your team that has flag in your base can score. I would say a 5 on 5 tyep game.
Game is mix with CTF,team Battle mode,Team scrum. Put all your skills to the test.
I need help makeing this game.
Anyone wanan help?? This could be a great game! Il be makeing some maps. If we do this I will need help.
P.s I will make a site for this if poeple help. Show updates on maps and whos helping.

I had the same idea last year. Art Crazy said it was not possible at the time, but maybe it is now. :)

Alot of poeple knows how to Script very good like Nap and dash. Back them we were still learning them now we know how to work them. So I think this time we know how to do it it.
It is possible but I guess it'd be a bit bugged, 2 tanks had to be in a goal each with the flag and there would be other problems like the ones I have in CTF... But if you want to do it and succed in making it the CORRECT way (like the first post in this thread), "hello, master!"
BTW, I'm not a scripter. I would go insane!
My thoughts......
....
have a scrum shaped powerup in each goal
if the other team runs over this powerup they get a scrum and the powerup dissappears
if they die the scrum drops obviously
if a team picks up their own flag the scrum disappears and the powerup reappears at their base
but if the other team picks up the scrum, it continues
you score with your own flag in your base and a player with the enemy flag
if you score, the scrum disappears and the powerup reappears
....
Anyway, there is my 2 cents... See any problems with this art?

Many... I think a powerup doesnt have the "visible" method... So how you thinking of making the powerup disappear?
Unless you use the function delete on it, but then, how to bring it back?

Put this in a powerup data function
minOff = 60000;
maxOff = 60000;
And when you go thru it... Ta da, it disappears for one minute!
Since I dont know how tell it to respawn once the ball is scored or returned (most TGE references are not used... Like StartFade and Hide, which are used for this sort of thing....), I think there will have be a time limit
as an example : you have one minute to score or else the ball disappears...
I just need to use the schedual command to delete the ball... Any other questions?

I was thinking after u score ball will just retrun. I mean your going to have awar geting back to your base with other team tryign to kill u. It my take 10min to get back to base and score or long if other team has your flag.
Well, yeah, I know what you were thinking... But I have no idea what BraveTree used for hiding the powerups...

Well, first, as you said, that sets a time limit. Then there is no way that I know to make the powerups appear when we want, and the time limit just sucks :)
(Yea I knew that... But if you see I knew it had that little problem I just said...)
About delete, I never told you I didnt know it, I was just asking on how to bring it back :) (Now that I think off I know of a good way, but this is not the problem, the real problem is the above one)
Then, I guess you're a dummy for not knowing the C++ code is the one that makes the powerups appear when the time ends :)
And now I found another problem, the only way to know where a flag is, is if it is on the tank, now if your team picks up the flag, it'll disappear from the tank, and respawn, so how could the game detect that BOTH flags are in the base?

Heres what I make of this humble pie! XD
First of all, you cant get the other teams flag if yours is taken.... One scrum at a time.... Problem solved
if your flag is at your base, meaning the powerup is spawned and you have the other team's flag in your base, you score...
a couple simple booleans will work for this... $GreenFlagReturned... And... $GreenFlagReturned
And as far as the dissappearing code goes... TGE uses StartFade and Hide commands, but TT does not
and if I am a dummy for obviously not knowing what TT does use, does it make you any smarter for knowing what C++ uses? :P (its not like its common knowledge...)
But if I was to delete the object instead of making it hidden and invisible, I could just create a new one in the center of the base (if I were to use a CTF goal for the bases...this would omit the time limit...)
and to make it appear instantly... %db.startOn = true;

As far as scripting goes
most of us are in the dark about some things
but sometimes it just doesnt cut it to follow the sound of your voice
either give us a flashlight or flip the switch!

but if you know a better way, cut to the chase and tell us!

Not really, I was talking about the flags being in top of the tanks to detect them, not how to detect them... Thats easy... Set a type in the datablock and then request it...

Game is called Base battle.
Its whan you have 2 base close to each other. And u have to get there flag and retrun it to your base and score but u have to have your team flag still at base for you to score. So if u have the flag u must go though your own team flag to score then the other team flag will retrun back to there base. Now the Maps will be small to make it close none-stop fighting action. What u guys think?? For best modders here u think u can make this type of game?
