Impressive work. However, I think I will stick to just running iTunes in the background. Still, an impressive hack for those who want custom music without the intense processor drainage of iTunes. ;)

PCer's just have to get the File Writer output plugin for winamp and we can easily just convert it. Your way is way to long.
That's nice, but PC's have been able to open and modify OGG files ever since they became "popular".
Everything you described can be done in a program called "Audacity".
Complicated = cool :P
I hate macs thats probally why I get my a** handed to me when I play some one with a mac.
my four year old pc cant keep up, im saving tho so watch it.
Macs SUCK :)
The simple way for pc users"
Downlod qcdplayer (its free from download.com)
Get some ogg files and make sure the names and length is comparable
Copy them to the right folder and thats it!!

PC rocks the house.
Woot! PC! The ppl's 'puter! :)
I stand by what I said 6 posts ago.
You guys should at least acknowlege that it took a lot of work to figure this out!
Woot! Nice! Macs rule.
I might have sounded like one, but I'm not! Mac all the way!
At least you're not bagging on Mac like everyone else. Thanks Racer! :)
I know an even better way to play my own tunes while playing TT, and it takes no editing of files. Simply start iTunes before starting TT. Set up a playlist of your best rockin' tunes for tankin' around, or just click on "Party Shuffle" and let iTunes randomize your entire collection. Then start TT and turn the music volume all the way down in its prefs; leave the sound effects volume on, though.
Now you're playin' with style.... And iTunes background playing probably works on PCs, too. :)
But this hack is cooler!
And I just figured out that you can have songs of any length, as long as it spans three g's.
I'm not sure. I can't really do dedicated servers because they crash my computer every time.
Sound is client side only im pretty sure. Similar to skins...only for you
B
The skin thing isn't true now, because you can make people download the skin.
Spunky do u know if someone comes to ur game do they hear the music u have ?

Listen! Read! Learn! XO
Yeah, but how do you make the skins and/or sounds download to the client? That's the real question. It can be done, but I imagine some tweaking to the server code is necessary. It doesn't happen all by itself. Any modders care to elaborate?
Also, good work on this Spunky. However, this process is quite a bit easier if you have QuickTime Pro (Apple, $29.90) If you have that, just download the ogg vorbis quicktime component from HERE
It's a ridiculously easy install. Once done, just open any MP3, other music file or even a Quicktime readable movie file (sorry, no DRM'ed AAC files though) and use the clipping controls in QT Pro to select your 31 seconds of music or whatever, copy/paste to a new QT window and export right out to an Ogg format. Save as desired name, rinse and repeat until done.
Again, this is all dependent on having QT Pro, which IMHO is VERY worth the 30 bucks they ask. You can do a lot with it beyond the context of what was just described.
Maybe if someone with TGE coding modded the music.cs.dso file to download to another person?
I've just started learning C++, so I can't really do it. (that means I've just made the command prompt come up saying Hello world!)
Notice that the appropriate music (red, green or blue) starts playing as soon as the map starts loading. For the music to be loaded with the map off the server would require redesign of the game.
Like BT said all this is possible given time.
BUT the more stuff controlled on the server = longer load times and more lag.

MUAHAHA!!!!! I HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN TUNES IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!
*panting*
I'm not lying about this! All you people have to do is find my ".ogg Player for Mac Found!" thread, follow the instructions there, and then:
1. Go to iMovie (iMovie 4 preferred)
2. Choose Audio
3. Select the song you want and drag it to where it says "Drag Audio here to build your project."
4. Go all the way to the end of your song until you see a mark like <-I
5. Click on it and hold it. Drag it until the counter above the cursor reads 31 seconds EXACTLY.
6. Go to File>Share and go to QuickTime
7. In the tab that says Compress movie for... Choose Expert Settings, and click Share
8. It will bring you to a menu of where you want to save it, and what file format you want it to be. Name it g1.ogg and choose wherever to save it, and click on the Export tab (it should automatically be to AIFF). Choose Ogg Vorbis format. Remember where you saved it!
9. You're about 1/3 of the way through. Go back to iMovie and delete the rest of your song, then go to Audio and drag the same song into the Audio part
10. Get the <-I cursor again and drag it until it reads 31 seconds EXACTLY
11. Export it to the same place in Ogg Vorbis format, except name it g2.ogg
12. Almost done! Go back to iMovie, delete the Audio, drag it in again, get the <-I cursor and drag it this time to 33 seconds EXACTLY
13. Export it again to the same place, but name it g3.ogg
14. Go to game>data>sound and Duplicate the original g1, g2, and g3 ogg files
15. Drag your new ogg files into the sounds folder
TAA DAA!!!!!!!! Now whenever you play a Lush level, your music will be the music you chose!!!!!!!!!
If you have a PC, then I'm deeply sorry. :[ NOT! Buy a Mac!
If you can't find my ".Ogg Player for Mac Found!" thread, then be ashamed that only OM knows how to properly do this!
Tell 'em how it works, OM!
If there are any bugs, please tell me!
Thank me later, oh thankful Mac users!
