The question is simple, the answer might not.

My question... Can I get my mod in TGE to have 8 terrain textures (2 more than the default 6 slots available)?? If so, can someone instruct me on *how* to accomplish this (in easy to follow steps %) ) ?? :)

I tried a search and came up empty :(

That ability comes with purchasing TGE. Dazzle bought it and can do 8. The thing to remember is the more terrain paints you use, the more lag your probably creating on the map.

Also according to Bravetree the game engine in TT supports 4 colors
Any more than that and you will have difficulty with voids in the paint
Its not impossibe but is more difficult to get uniform coverage

Feathers

Its possible to get 8 terrains textures and you dont need to buy TGE, but roo is also correct it may effect performance. However one of the RollerBall maps uses 8 and another 7 but I only used the extra terrains so that I could get the crowd on the maps, in other words I never covered the whole map with 8 terrains but if you want to have a go I will email you the stuff.

When you load these files on it will completely remove the terrains from the boxes on the map you are working on but it will leave the name of the texture on the box, all you have to do is reload the terrain you want to use into the correct box and then you will be good to go.
