Hey guys

I got a new computer and I want to put TT on it, which I know is legal from other threads.

I saved my Shockwave.com folder to a disk. When I put the disk in the new computer, it loads, I put it where it needs to be, put TT won't start. Some filed (for example the main.cs file) are getting funky. Once it came up as main.cs.dso, another it was called main and was a WPD file.

Now when I try to start up TT it insists that it is a free trial and I only have 36 more minutes to play it. Buying it again would fix it, but that's not going to happen.

Can I get some advice and help as to how to transfer TT on a disk from one program to another?

Thanks

Tank

Re-install thinktanks from a fresh install, then copy your old thinktanks over it, excluding the thinktanks.exe file and main.cs. Then copy the stuff you added from your old and paste it into your new one.

Bam.

Bam.

All my downloaded mods and hotkeys and such are back, but that's no good when I can't play the game.

In the end I need the lisence key, and I shouldn't have to pay for it again, right? My other computer crashed and is broken. I never wrote it down the first time.

Ooh, you never wrote it down? I'll send you my key. Try not to overuse it though, I don't want it to be deactivated.

If you have a file in your old TT directory called ignition you can grab your code from there. Open it in wordpad or notepad or something.

If not, write an email to garagegames and say that you have a shockwave version of the game and would like a garagegames key and download instead. IF they let you (they usually do) then download the garagegames version, install copy old files and be happy. You will also get access to the linux and universal mac versions of TT from garagegames.
