Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 4:26:18 AM

^ yes. The extra codes I have are cloning, healing, heal all, clone all, make admin, and kill admin. Oh, and I slightly changed the messages around when you type /codes.

Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 1:44:28 PM

Well I did what you said (im a good modder not newbe) but it still dosent work :S
if I delete (or remove from my files) the

Codes.cs.dso
I cant even type
/adm *im not saying my admin pass*
because it will just show up as normal chat hmmmm........

CommandToClient(%sender,'CenterPrint',%status_msg,4,4);

The prob with this is that it is centerprintall, I need commandToClient

When I got the dash codes from dash's website I never even got a codes.cs.dso :[

Sunday, May 01, 2005 at 8:29:43 PM

Superb!!!
Mr Big Show the biggest show in town
I shall try this out shortly
Could be a great asset to the admin toolbox
@kai did you host a server yet? (you wont get a.dso until after the code compiles the first time)
did you test the login? (to see if the dash codes are activating)
If not recheck your install

Oh okay.
But how am I supposed to type the admin login????
Whenever I try to type my password, ************ (That's how long the password is if that helps any) The server stops and produces a lag symbol which means the login wasn't typed correctly. :S
By the way this is how I type it:
/adm ************ Then I hit the enter key
(I'm not going to type the actual password here only the length of it).

@roo Also my server is open right now it's name is "[mod] kill all bots" the map a mod of resceptor ridge.
If you can go there any time soon and help me it would be appreciated and you would be able to be an admin any time you want on there. XD

Mr. Big Show you might consider proof reading your website lol :P.

And also download my prefs(.cs) file here and then delete your codes.cs(.dso) , then start up thinktanks and you're set !

Just replace your codes(.cs) file with mine and then delete your codes.cs(.dso) file and run thinktanks and you're set !

Hi Kai
When you launch the dedicated server what do you see in the black DOS window
(are you on a pc?)
In the text that appears in the window it will say
Loading dash.main.cs
Loading dash.codes.cs
etc

If these don't show at the end of the initial startup then the codes are not installed
properly
If they are there, then dash codes are active
Maybe you forgot the space between /adm and the password
Did you set a unique password in the dash/pref.cs?

@Mr Big Show
I installed the addons to dashes codes and they work
ty
Just one thing the messages don't appear correctly
I am debugging what I did and will report any new findings
Cool stuff...thanks again
hmmm makes me wanna break out in song
(melody from Elvis Costellos"Red Shoes")
"Well I used to be a Modder...
But I'm gonna script instead
Yeah once I used a paint brush
But now I use my head............"

Oh sry kinda lame huh?

Yes I work on a PC but the thinktanks version I have is shockwave so I can't host a dedicated server. :'(
Everything else works. Next monday I will need you to test the password if I am there.

By the way the password function works just fine(it won't allow you to type the word password), I think there is something wrong with the password I picked out.because when I type the login, with the space in between , the server lags and stops completely. :S :[

By the way this is how I type it:
/adm ************ Then I hit the enter key
(I'm not going to type the actual password here only the length of it).

@Bomber

Lol. I don't really spend a lot of time on it, I guess il fix that... :)

@ rooster

Which messages don't show? I know for certain that the admin disable message doesnt work, but the others work fine with me.

@kai
First type /codes. Does anything show up? If not its prolly not installed correctly.

Second: I don't think your computer "server lags and stops completely". I think your typing your password in wrong. If you do that it automatically gives "da boot". Try changing your pass to something like -> test. Then throw up a server and type /adm test.

Hope that helps

I have a small problem when running a dedicated server. I get an error report like this:

Game/server/dash/prefs.cs Line: 34 - Syntax error.
>>> Advanced script error report. Line 67.
>>> Some error context, with ## on sides of error halt:
$pref::Server::healMessage = " Has been healed by admin!";

$pref::Server::heal-allMessage = ##"## Everyone has been healed by admin!";

$pref::Server::cloneMessage = " Has been clonified!";
>>> Error report complete.

I changed the messege when you get healed, but it did that before I changed it so it isn't that. So far it doesn't seem to do any thing much, but when I clone some one all it says is their name and not "has been clonified!" maybe thats the problem. You should try running a dedicated server and see if you get this too.

Wednesday, May 04, 2005 at 7:41:24 PM

It should be $pref::Server::healallMessage = "Everyone has been healed by admin!";in the code, no "-"

Thursday, May 05, 2005 at 11:27:22 AM

Ok fellas
NEWS UPDATE

@ Mr Big Show
it initially was all the messages and I read the codes.cs thoughly
Even fixed a glitch or two
But the key to repairing the messages is in the prefs.cs
The "-" Art sees is carring over as a ghost in the copy/paste
I had to rewrite the lines with proper capitalizationa and remove the ghosts
It now works - Even lists the codes in game too!
Any who want the repaired files email me and I will ship 'em out
On to the anti-diver problem

@Kai what Nuts! Said ^^^

Everything works right for me after I took out the "-" like they said. I didn't have a problem seeing the codes when typing /codes.
