LC₅₀ ’s Magic 8 Ball Challenge

Think you can do better than LC and the Magic 8 Ball? Well, here’s your chance.

Successfully predict the outcome of Game 1 and/or Game 2 of the PSL 11 Championship and you take home the pot(s). Pot as in the big pile of money. I know what you’re thinking.

Rules
1. Cost per slot is $5, payable to LC50 via PayPal . LC will retain about 30-50 cents from each $5 entry (5-10% of the pot) to cover the cost of PayPal fees (2.7% plus 30 cents). I’m not really making any money here: PayPal charges me, so I must pass the cost to you. The house (PayPal in this case) always wins, one way or another.

2. Must be 18 or older to play. By sending me money via PayPal, you acknowledge that you are 18 or older.

3. Games will be the Official PSL 11 Championship Games 1 and 2, played between Pork ‘n Beans and the Fruity Tanks, currently scheduled for 7PM PST, Wednesday, January 10, 2006 (but may occur at a later date if necessary).

4. Enter as often as you like in order to cover as many slots as you would like to cover. I would think most people will cover one slot in Game 1 and one slot in Game 2 (that would be $10).

5. The player in the winning slot for Game 1 wins the Game 1 Pot; The player in the winning slot for Game 2 wins the Game 2 Pot. If more than one player is in the winning slot, the winnings for that Game will be split amongst the players in the winning slot.

6. If the winning slot is not covered, winnings will go to the player(s) in the nearest slot or slots.

7. Pots for Game 1 and Game 2 will be distributed via PayPal. Pot as in the big pile of money.

8. The deadline for entry is 11:59 PM PST on January 9, 2007 . Note, that’s the day BEFORE the big games.

9. Refunds: In the unlikely event that the official PSL 11 championship games never get played, I will refund all money (about $4.50 per slot) via PayPal.

10. Members of the teams playing in the championship are welcome to play, however, I will not accept their bets if they are betting on slots that are AGAINST their own team (for example: Bolo requesting the “Fruits by 3 in Game 1” slot). We don’t need any Treadless Bananas or whatnot throwing the PSL game just to pick up a few bucks. I can’t have that on my conscience.

11. Feel free to post questions or call out which slots you’ll be putting your $ into in this thread, however, nothing is official until I get your PayPal $ and can update this official post. I will update every day or so as the PayPal confirmations roll in. And will also keep a separate record just in case PTT.com goes down again.

Looks good, LC. One question though. The PSL championships have been known to go on to 3 or even 4 games in the event that there is a tie after the first 2 games, etc. Do you want to capture potentially the whole thing or just game 1 and 2?

Just Games 1 and 2 to keep things simple. The Magic 8 Ball tells me the Porks will take care of busniess in Game 1 (by 3) and Game 2 (by 5). ;)
