Had to take one more pot/pop shot here before I completely reform to non-chain-yanker...

Leaving or departing TT and PTT has been such sweet sorrow for many and there have been several exit techniques for departure used, some of which we have seen lately. I list them.

1. The Italian Stomp: I am mad as heck and not taking this anymore, Pais-style. Sometimes this is probably justified, I suppose. Sometimes there are better ways out, too, I reckon.

2. Addicted-Going-Cold-Turkey Exit: I...can't...stop...so...I...am...chaining...myself...to...and not touching the game anymore. If you see this game as your primary reality, shame on you and you do need to chain yourself to a tree somewhere. Hey, at times it is a noble thing to do also, though. Call it replacement therapy.

3. I-Got-Too-Much-To-Do Exit: Speaks for itself. Time for a little work.

4. The Michael Jordan Retirement: I'm here, I'm gone, I'm here, I'm gone... "They always come back." But if you make his kind of money doing it, it's OK, it's good!

5. "The Vanish": This is the most second best exit plan. For example, I started playing about the time LC50 and Tankdork began to retire. Some old TT'ers don't die, they simply fade away...

6. The Non-MJordan Farewell: Mr. Slug gave his speech and wandered off. Most classy. We invite him back. Come back, Slug. Reunion time!

7. From Habit-to-Occasional User: This one I have not seen and I am recommending it for consideration. If you are a habitual user, don't disappear. It's too much fun seeing everyone. Just show up less frequently.

Are listening to me??!! I know you're lurking out there. Declare your official Occasional Status.

"Life is good. Be Occasional"

Heh. Good stuff. Looks like you got most everything covered too. BTW, you have seen the "Habit-to-Occasional User" one. That would be me. Minus my getting sucked in to TBML again this past season I play much less than I used to. Have to keep my addiction under control. Going cold turkey never has worked for me. :)

Sorry, meant to tag a note here earlier, OM.

You, as a member of that grand BM fraternity -- The Sons of Hum Bot! -- are most certainly honored with permanent "Occasional Status."

My exit strategy is this: no play, less forum.

Someone please find us a new game/forum to take over...i'm bored shitless with the game, and I fear posting and not playing is unsustainable.

Any ideas?

Or the...
I'm leaving everyone cry please!: You post on PTT you are leaving and no one leaves a comment or cares that you are leaving. They then come back, but no one remebers you or cares still. I have seen this one most often. 8o
