And what were YOU doing when the planes hit? This thread is irrelevant

As much as I despise president Bush, and as much as I love to see every moment when he validates what an idiot he is in front of cameras... I don't think this is fair to him. He probably should have gotten up a few minutes earlier when he was told that a second plane hit and this was a terrorist attack, but I don't think this is a reason to humiliate him... There are plenty of other good reasons where he is the sole instigator of his public gaffs.

Blaah already said

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

This is a rubbish troll-thread

You need to find something-else which will inflame the religious right

OK, maybe Bush should have excused himself immediately after learning what had happened. But then, when I first heard the news, I couldn't believe it. I thought that the first plane was an accident and the I thought the Pennsylvania crash was unrelated. Since I couldn't get to any Internet news sites, I had to drive to Wal-mart to see a TV broadcast for it all to actually sink in around 11am.

I would guess that he was trying to figure out what he wanted to do and I bet he didn't want to disappoint or alarm the children, which now, 5 years later, seems a bit lame, but I'm sure he was in just as much shock as the rest of us. Sure, he's the president and all, but he's still a man too.

The IRONY for me is that at the time I was working on a project dealing with Basic Awareness Training: Weapons of Mass Destruction for First Responders. We had to change the Introduction to the threat since we suddenly had an example everyone was aware of. We ended up shooting that a couple times. Once soon after the attack and another, less somber version a month or so later.

However, I did really enjoy Mortal Peep Fight!!!

Actually, I was driving home from NYC. I was working for a company that has a store on Madison ave, And I made a weekly delivery early that morning, and was out of the city by 8:30. I don't think my cell stopped ringing the whole way back.

@44, that sure is a puny fish - try bringing up a 100+ pound Halibut from a 100ft or more depth saltwater. I bet you'd give up, lol.
