Lots of you guys have things like "TM" and "R" and all these other weird symbols, including Yen! How do you guys get this stuff?? I looked and most of the people I looked at that had names like that were from Canada, United Kingdom, etc. But some are from America. How do you do that? Is it a special keyboard they give you?? :o

Step #1: Get a Mac (www.apple.com)
Step #2: Hold down the option key and type!

OR

Step #1: Open Microsoft Word
Step #2: Insert > Symbols
Step #3: Make your name with the symbols in MS Word
Step #4: Copy + Paste your new name into your profile.

(Option 1 is better!) B)

Do you like my new improved name? Not really that improved...

Tuesday, March 01, 2005 at 6:46:43 PM

I see how to do this in your profile, but how do I insert the characters into my name in TT?

Tuesday, March 01, 2005 at 9:12:41 PM

OK I used caracter map for this (Did it a while ago) Find the object/letter you want to use in your name. Now not all the characters are going to work. WHen you select one look at the bottom right corner and if alt +...(... Represent numbers) then it will work on TT in your name. Now if that's not there then just move on. DOuble click on it then it will come up in the little text box below the choices. There double click in side there then the character will be highlighted. Hit ctrl+c (copy) then open your tt and edit you name and just hit crtl+v(paste) where you want it. Now that is the easy way to do it.
Remember those numbers alt+... Well when you see them that's the key stroke for it. Turn on pad lock then hold alt then hit the numbers that it gives you (pad numbers) then it will work, where ever your cusor is, in the line of your name. But that is the hard way first way is much easier!

Just don't use too many of them, because they make your name look stupid. ;)

PS. It's also possible to edit your name without losing your combat exp, etc things.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

How would you do that?

You edit out a.cs file which holds the information of your names. The file you need to edit is players.cs and can be found at ThinkTanks/game/client/players.cs. Open it up with some kind of text editor(eg. NotePad). Change the name you would like to edit from there. Let's say your old name is "Killalot" and then there should be a line like this
$playerList::name0 = "Killalot";. You want to change it to "Killalot©" then you need just add © after your name. (NOTE: You probably want to make a backup copy of the file, if someting goes wrong.) After you have done your changes to your name save the changes to the file. Then you need to delete file called players.cs.dso which holds the old information of names, if you don't delete it nothing will happen. It's in same folder as the players.cs.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

^true!! Thanks!

You can also find the "ALT + 4NUM" code that appears on char map when u select a char, like for ™ it's "ALT + 0153"

PS: You have to hold "ALT" down.
You can use those shortcuts on TT, they're just hard to remember

There are even weirder X's.

1:җ
2:ҳ
3:א
4:Ж
5:ﭏ
6:אּ

Which one do you like?

Wednesday, March 02, 2005 at 7:35:32 PM

#3 is the Hebrew letter Alef. I'd know, I'm learning Hebrew myself. It's just not really an X.

Ya what he said

Open microsoft then at the top there will be insert. Go down and you will find Symbol file. Open it and you will r, c, tm. I dont really like it and will probaly get rid of it. Only did this because of imposters. Then you copy then paste it on your name. B)
