@ all 3 vs 3 tournament participants.

I'm sad to see that Napalm has called it quits. But I kinda understand him and I again thank him for all his work. I don't want to replace Napalm or dish on his work or his decisions.

I feel that some of us in this tournament really liked the formula and were and are serious about playin to the end. My team (Dash Delta T-34) we are unavailable till the return of Dash around the 9 of july. But we are serious about finishing this.

Are there teams that are serious about continuing this without delay and have some serious commitment at showing up to play?

Do we continue just on a challenge basis?
Do we finish the games left to play and crown a Champion in the Top bracket? Consensus seems to going towards letting all teams finish.
Continue the games already in schedule while forcing teams to be committed or Booted?

Determine a specific DAY of the week with a 4-5 hour window in which the games must be played ?Not agreed on by all.

All Top bracket teams have signified their interest to continue.

TOP Bracket games shall restart after the 10 of july.

All Lower BRACKET teams ready to play should POST On PTT to start scheduling their games. Also email your opponents.

Please post constructive comments on this subject and your teams intentions about continuing.

Thanks for your time and your dedication.

TEAMS willing to finish this:

Dash Delta T-34,
SkillzDatKillz, @ Tankster get a replacement and quick, thanks.
GetMagPhizz
DjJanBO

Lower Bracket:

@uréHemV
LWSupra RX
DAR KJ Pedro ? (confirm with pedro that his TT is operating !)
2 old farts and a Prune (GQ) email your team to get them aware of this PLZ.

TEAMS OUT (their decision)

ODDBALLERS (vacations)

Yes, we do finish, then after my team wins, we start a new tournament where it is open challenge 3v3, and we start off with the crown.

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 4:21:43 PM

I don't see how you can call this a true tournament. There have been so many 2 on 2's bye's and teams/players dropping off. I agree there are a few great teams still in tact, it appears there's very little interest as days go by without anyone posting in any threads.

Do what you will with it.

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 4:46:52 PM

The top four teams look like what would have been the results of the games anyway...

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 4:52:17 PM

@ tankster is your team in and dedicated to finish this?

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 6:19:46 PM

Yes.

There may be a replacement of a player though.

Someone make a new 3v3 tourny (finals) thread and get the url of the tourny bracket napalm made.

Oh, and I'd like to keep my status as a sub for this. ;)

Honestly....i havent spoken w my team since everyone started dropping like flies.

Personally I would like to finish this....it will only take three games to determine a winner between the 4 remaining teams. I dont know what interest still remains with magenta and memphis but I cant imagine they would be opposed to playing two more games.

In the words of the Astrodome fans who watched the underdog Bad News Bears....

LET THEM PLAY!!!!!!

@ get some can you email your team and get back to us with an answer?

Good to hear from you all. Yes if oppossing team does not post or answer emails very difficult to play. Then we must press on.

Who else wants to finish this?

Memphis are you away till last week of July?

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 4:48:50 AM

I think the real way to finish would be to advance teams in both brackets and get to the end like we started. At that point, there really will be an undisputed champ. Whether you have lost or won, it will be undeniable.

We cant seem to complete our losers bracket match and at some point the game just needs to be called, Someone take the reigns and move on with both brackets and lets finish. I would be glad to sit on a "team" to make decisions about when a team needs to be passed up. Someone has to take the reigns...

@ supra you mean to play the tournament out like it is now. With the brackets and teams in their positions.
Boot the teams that are not committed to playing.
Set-up a committee from seperate teams to make decisions.

I think it's a super Idea.

Napalm are you willing to still participate on this committe/team/decision maker group?

I will participate if no one oppposses this.

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 5:28:52 AM

It manynot be dead but we're out. Vacations are just not lining up. Best of luck going forward. See you in the fall for PS XI.

I think its the best way to move things towards completion. For example, we are supposed to play oddballs team. They have now dropped. But in the losers bracket, there are teams that need to be pushed - or passed up - or something. This group needs to make those decisions.

Then we get a final lower bracket opponent/upper bracket winner - and can be finished.

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 8:09:37 AM

Simulate/Play as many lower bracket matches as you can before getting to the top four teams. (I guess?)

Then we can continue

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 8:15:44 AM

I don't mean to be a downer in this conversation, but I think one of the biggest problems with this tourny has been that it runs during people's summer vaca, yet has a pretty agressive schedule of one match a week, with BYE's being used for those matches that can't be played. Unfortunatly these various factors lead up to players dropping, and then un-even matches and ultimately an un-balanced tourny.

One thing I might suggest for the next 3 on 3 tourny would be to have pre-scheduled dates and times for each match. I realize that those dates/times may not always stick, but it would at least serve as a starting point for teams to schedule on, rather than go through all the snags and snafus of communication via e-mail and/or posts and trying to get a consensus. Not everyone in the league will necessarily commicate as clearly or as frequently as others, so a scheduled target date to begin each match would probably help shore up communication handicaps for our organizationally challenged brethren.

Germans? :o

Forget it, he's rolling! %)

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 10:25:14 AM

Good point Ass.
Napalm tried to do that in limiting the game dates to 1 week only. Maybe also chosing a fixed time to play games would of helped like one night a week from 8 PM to 12 PM to accomodate all North Americans. But for Euros this is always more difficult, only the really dedicated say yes when this condition applies.

@ Feathers is your team willing to continue ? PLZ respond ASAP.

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 10:36:42 AM

As I stated in the now-defunct 3 on 3 thread, my team will play any team, in any discipline, any time.

Sure seems like alot of work you're doing now, Delta, only to be swiftly eliminated after the 9th. Or are we still going to allow teams such as yours a second chance?

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 11:14:33 AM

LOL Jangles, thanks for responding.

I'm doing all of this just to send you to the lower bracket and then hoping you make it to the finals versus us again so that we can beat you again. Lets wager some beer for next time I see yah friend.

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 11:40:58 AM

Let me clarify something. Not one team was pushed out, or another team given a bye because a match was not played within a week.

In fact the schedule was most likely too flexible. Right off the bat I tried to accomodate people and inserted an additional week because the master server went down for 3 days.

Let me refresh your memory

@ Napalm, yah lots of problems in the scheduling. But many players , also many are adults and have too many responsabilities. Please stay and finish this. Email your team, the 3 of you are serious and offer a great challenge. When these games are played they are almost always intense because most of the teams in the tournament are high caliber players. Get a response from your partners.

Do we go with a fixed day of the week and a 4 hour window for the games to be played by all?

Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 1:36:26 PM

I am with Supra
Not sure if RX is willing to continue though if not I am sure Supra and I can find a replacement for the Reagent X man if need be :(

Ok... What we need to do is to look at the current brackets and pass on teams that are out of it or nonresponsive. IN the lower bracket there seems to be many dormant teams.

It also seems like the upper bracket is ready to play its games to come to a final winner.

I guess all who wish to continue should make it known now, or we will pass you up, dump your team, or some other action to allow this to continue AND be completed.
