I have my sliders for both music and sound set to the far left or off position, but I still have full sounds and music when I play TT. I have closed the game, rebooted and such and the settings do not faulter...there's still sounds and music in TT. I heard of one other player having this same problem. Is there a solution or fix for this problem? I have a 256kOC5500Nvidia

Try this. Open up the prefs.cs file that's in the CLIENT folder and set the audio to 0.

On a PC go to:
c:/Program Files/BraveTree/ThinkTanks/game/client/prefs.cs

For Mac (OSX):
Contents/Resources/game/client/prefs.cs

Here's what I have right now. Changing the settings to 0 turns off all sound.

$pref::Audio::channelVolume1 = 1;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume2 = "0.626087";
$pref::Audio::channelVolume3 = 1;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume4 = "0.121739";
$pref::Audio::channelVolume5 = 1;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume6 = 1;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume7 = 1;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume8 = 1;

$pref::Audio::channelVolume1 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume2 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume3 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume4 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume5 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume6 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume7 = 0;
$pref::Audio::channelVolume8 = 0;

BTW, If you want no music, but want to hear the tank sounds set channelVolume4 to 0.
$pref::Audio::channelVolume2 = 1; controls the tank sounds.
$pref::Audio::channelVolume4 = 0; controls the music.

Wow great info KBC...I will definately go and try that ASAP! THankYou!

Now for me to point out my biggest "dumb blonde " moment in recent history!

My post above is talking about an audio situation and I leave the model of my Video card!

ROFL

Now if only I could get information on the REREREPEATTTTINNNNNGGGGG bombs and other game sounds that loop into infinity for 3 or 4 minutes or until you die sometimes they will pass... I may consider wearing my headphones again!

I hate when the sounds loop. Especially when it's the voice saying "Bounce back powerup!" over and over and over and...

Any fixes for that kind of thing?

Yeah, I get that on my mac, maybe its an OpenAL thing?

Its annoying when it does that stupid Bounce Pad Jump Noise or constatly shooting noise, which makes me think im being shot at in scrummage

Here's another thing I find. You know when I constantly hear "Bounce Back Powerup!" Sometimes I start driving off and the Sound starts sounding like a mouse squeaking out "Bounce Back Powerup!"! In other words, as I start driving the sounds grow in pitch, like it has changed to my tank sound! What on earth causes that? Just my ₤5

The pitch changes seem to be a doppler effect going on, too...
