How do you feel about playing five or six games straight on a team that loses every game by a wide margin?
Always sucks and the admin (if there is one) is not doing a good job. Hopfully a switch-up occurs after that game.
How do you feel about playing five or six games that are decided by one point or a last-minute effort?
Always good to have close games. It's interesting to see who steps up to try and take the game or steps up to block the other team from taking the game.
If the teams were changed by an admin before that game the admin is doing a good job. If the games just turned out that way then the admin should leave things as they are.
Oh :)
Bolo, Duck, and any other Canuck opponents,
I apologize for blowing up at you. I get wrapped up in the competition and want to see close games, or at least a close series.
Yes twas a bit stacked... It was Jangles Bolo Reagent and migo. (Dang I missed Canadian Duck!)
We could have switched but American Reagent was applying for Canuck Citizenship and we had to test him. With Canadian Bolo it's more complex and I won't talk unless my lawyer is beside me.
No more stack.

Oh those Canadians...
Take off eh!
The other team had max, magenta, and other good players at times. STEP IT UP. Its not like you had all noobs. We had way better spawns for one thing. Id never let it get tooo far out of hand....
BTW I was switching people around when you came and left the second and third time. BE PATIENT. I hate when people keep leaving and coming in. Makes it hard to play at the same time.
Im a pretty good admin because I know a lot of folks and can type fast. Gimme a chance. When im drunk it takes time for me to get it goin...hehe

^^ For great justice, take off eh?
I always try to make it fair. I don't always catch it when someone comes in or leaves right away. So just let me know. Nicely please, the only codes I know are /mg /mb /mr and /ban. If your a vet try and let the admins know.
Also sometimes teams naturally become uneven. New people join in and by chance the vets end up on one team while the semi-noobs end up on the other. :[ For an admin it's hard to change that: you need to change 2 or 4 people, and to change people's team always is delicate, especially mid-game! :)
^Good point. Sometimes it is fun when a team gets on a run until the losing team can muster enough good players to come out on top. Losing has a silver lining: Learning from your mistakes. Mid game switchage is bad in MHO. ;)
Wasnt round for the above mentioned games. As we all know the pendulum swings both ways in Think Tanks.
A team defeated in a landslide one game can come back and dominate the next.
A lot at work.
Team chemistry. Can sometimes take a game or two to come together.
Luck of the ______ (fill in with spawns...or whatever)
sometimes the addition or subtraction of one player seems to make the big difference.
Sometimes it's what I call the pendulum, the intangibles, that make this game so fun to play.
Which reminds me I gotta get back to playing it more....
Baaaaadrooool
Beware the canadian's game stacking. They fight dirty. And watch your back, because sometimes they sneak up and grab you from behind.
Good discussion all. I'd say that you need to consider more than the experience of the players. If the first 2 or 3 games are a blowout, it's safe to say that something (Internet latency, bad American beer) is holding players back.
And don't wait for admin to make the change. If you're rolling over the other guys, think about swapping with someone who isn't faring so well.
@KKB, I disagree about switching mid-game. I enjoy switching to a losing team and rallying them to win. People are more likely to stick around after a close game, or even if they feel they have a chance in the next game.
'bad american beer'.... I forgot about this one! XD
Baaaaadrooool
Oh great, retarded sheep.... XD
Do you sometimes find it dodgy picking who to swap? To pick any of the vets from the winning team is a compliment, but not always popular. And who ya gonna pick from the losers? If an obvious alias or noob, sure, but what if they're all known players? It's like saying "you now officially suck."
Also, there's team chemistry. There are adequate players who just gel, making an unbeatable, if temporary, dynasty, and great players whose auras (to say it nicely) clash...
BTW, if I'm on a badly blown-out team, I volunteer to be the official "you suck" trade to the winning side. Keep me in mind!
Yes, it can be hard to find someone to swap. If I see someone on a badly losing team who isn't scoring or killing, they are a good candidate. But before I ask one person, I'll ask if anyone wants to swap.
By the same token, if I'm not helping the team, I would swap without hesitation.

What is the role of the Administrator in these situations?
