Here's the truely bad aprt. All it took was one idiot to tell TT Plocie to do it and it was all over. Then, even though I told UFO I was a moderator and an admin , he thought I was a fake and continued to laugh about it and continue to Bm whomever TT Police said was bm'ing.

The only way I could prove to them I was an admin was to lock and unlock a thread. Too bad, I gave UFO 7 chances and asked him to take this seriously.

TT police is being banned just for the nature of what he was doing.

I have to admin thses two really pissed me off and I started cursing something feirce. I have limited time to play this game and I have a short temper when game-play turns out to be an undercover babysitting job.

Sorry yall it was me TT police yes me I was messing around and just killing people who bmed in shockservers, I did the same thing yesturday and bmed some peope that were bming other in a scrum game so I thought id put on a wierd name like TT police Unit 1 and I went out and Bmed, But I stoped anyway, So plz dont blame it on UFO man ;) Oh and I am sorrry for messing around, I really wouldnt like too get banned from cool servers :)

I was watching the whole time that you can Killer did "it." I can safely say that it wasn't agreed by everyone. Infact, you were pissing so many people off that by the time I'd left, about 3/4 of the original server had left as well. Another point I'd like to make is that so many people think that they can fix their problems by making this up:

Yes, that is a load. Look man, glad you apologized, but immaturity can't be wished away. I personally am trying to ignore this type of thing in Shockwave servers. Sometimes it can be difficult. I personally think that Napalm and other admins/Moderators shouldn't have to cope with all this Sh*t. It's unfair that they just want to play a game they enjoy, but are forced to work with imbeciles such as ^ that are so ignorant that they are unaware sucking the fun out of the game for others that are trying to help. With that in mind, I'd say that it would only be fair to ban these people. But if you look at this situation in the sense that these people were having fun, than a warning would suffice. But, they are both repeated offenders, so... I think that banning is in order.

Sorry about the inconvenience Naps. Hope that you won't have any more of these problems.

I'm with Nappy on this one....spare the rod and spoil the child.

Unfortunately, it's literal in this case.

Look at it this way....this is no different than these two being at Nap's house and getting out of hand. Nap has every right to do kock them out.

Unfortunately for the two offenders, the rest of the ACA have the same "bar" for acceptable behavior in their "houses" as well. Therefore, their misdeeds cost them access there too.

There is a real lesson here for not only these two, but for the rest of the players who behave in a similar fashion (some sporadically): you are RESPONSIBLE for your actions, apologies notwithstanding.

The ACA group has been organized for about a year now. In it's early days they would have most likely accepted the explanation and went on with life.

Too bad for Cool & Jordan that their predecessors ruined the chance of this happening for them today. The ACA has had it's goodwill stuck up it's ass on one too many occasions - thereby the quick, deliberate....and final....actions such as the one taken today.

As far as I am concerned.....we need more Napalms.

Gents, I thank you for your support and well wishes. The banning has all ready gone forth. If theese players are seen in a server or servers as IP addresses changes they wil be banned. I'd say somewhere around April they will be let back in.

I hope the next time THE ENTIRE SERVER agrees they DO NOT want you to run around and BM people (which is never a good thing in Idny Scrum), that you listen to the people. I asked both of you to quit, and tried to prove to you this exact thing COULD and WOULD happen.

It need no be this difficult.

Some people have limited time to play and WILL NOT tollerate this kind of (This ones for you Monica) horseplay.

Yes, it will include the most popular private servers (Dash, Nap's Roosters, BC's Nuts', Reagent X's.) You get the drift, right? You'll be able to get in until they update their ban list, or one of the admin's catch you in the game. You will be banned upon discovery. Don't take it personally. This is a reaction to your actions.

They were all my cousin I figured it out.... And if u think this is a lie,,,, o well my little cousin ( The sister of my big cousin ) told me that my Big cousin was using the Computer (MY COMPUTER) when I heard that I got mad yes those are my IP's and the one Napalm posted is my IP... Now I put the lock thing on my computer buh bye COUSIN! I think everybody will hate me for saying this but... They really don't deserve to be banned. They did ONE thing wrong and now they are banned? I know it was bad, but it was only ONE THING! Don't you guys have this system that includes WARNINGS??

Yes I realize that the is the system for PTT but I would think you would use a similar, sensible system for servers.

And about BMing, nobody likes it and it is thought of as impolite, BUT is not against the rules of TT. Even the creators of TT agree that it is a legitimate tactic. And it is DEFINITELY not something to get banned for. If it was in a private server, and therefore probably against the rules, the admin would have a right to ban them. But since it was in a shockwave server, you are allowed to do it and you admins, you will get angry at me for saying this, but you have ABSOLUTELY NO POWER in these servers.

@ UFO and Jordan: You will not be banned from my server. Feel free to come in. However, if you do another thing wrong then you might be banned.

They wer both givin warnings "IN SERVER" I even locked and unlocked a thread her on PTT so they would know I was not a fake. Jordan tried to pull the "Do you know who I am?" Kind of stuff. I wasted a half an hour trying to get things in order.

They are banned.

Once again, both sides have diff. Stories and another big misunderstanding.......Only time can heal these sorts of things..... :(

P.S. And UFO just because your banned doesn't mean you should keep people from enjoying your soccer MOD.

@Player, banning people in private servers, especially those in a chain... Such as ACA, can be done because you don't like someone, or don't agree with them. Yes, Shockwave servers provide no system of punishment, and most certainly don't have admins... BUT, behavior can be treated as a normal habit. Also, I might point out that the punishment has nothing to do with ShockWave servers, so why in the world would it change the punishment as being fair?

@ cannedsplam, I agree somewhat with what you said. Napalm can ban them if he wants because he is angry at them. However, I am just trying to give another view to this situation. Since there are no admins in the Shockwave servers, UFO and Jordan did not have to listen to him when he gave them a warning. Since napalm, or anyone else, do not have power in those servers, nobody has to obey anybody. It would have been nice if they respected napalm, but nothing keeps them from disregarding him. If they do the same thing in a private server, then I will ban them but I highly doubt they would act this way in a private server. They are two completely different environments. Of course, you can ban them if you want and I won't get mad. Unless the banning carries over to PTT, which would be ridiculous because they have done nothing wrong on PTT.

I'm not trying to get in an argument with you guys or challenge your authority. Just trying to show people that there is more than one way of dealing with this and they don't have to do whatever you say. I'm giving them another point of view so they can decide for themselves if this is fair and if they should ban these guys from their servers. I hope all of this ends quikly and easily without any yelling, flaming etc. :)

So let me get this straight. Since these were shockwave servers it was ok what they did, since there were no admins there (because shockwave servers don't allow admins). So.....if I come to your house I am able to trash the place and act like an ass, since there are no cops. I realize not the same thing, but same logic. Your right Napalm probably was a little upset as to what had transpired. Most of us have limited to play this game and it sucks when someone ruins it for us, we all payed the same for the game. I get pissed when I hear stories like this because I wonder how many times this does happen and how much it has cost us (us= all think tanks players that want garagegames to make money so they do TT2). I think its great you have an open mind and will allow them on your server. I hope they don't screw it up, I had some good games with both them.

If people learned their lesson and e-mail to me, their unbanned. I just let people in. I'm not that harsh. Anyways, hope everything resoloves for you (UFO1)COOL and Capn Jordan. You guys are always welcome in my server. :)

This is about people who game in and ruined a series of great games. There was a great rhythm to the game and all of us were really enjoying them.

Any time someone enters a server they change the dynamics of the game whether they know it or not. Hopefully it's for the better. This time is was for the worse.
Hopfully they'll see that now.

@ nuts: I get your point. However, I could get you arrested for trashing my house :P. The difference between that and the shockwave servers is the shockwave servers have no rules. So even though what they did really screwed up the game and got ppl mad, it's not really against any rules of the server. Ban them if you like, but I won't because I doubt they would act like this in a private server.

@ napalm: I realize you are just trying to do your job. But when somebody is BMing, you could just stay out of it. It'll probably stop in a few minutes. That would help you enjoy the game more. :)

EDIT: Oh and UFO1, it would be a lot easier if you just admitted it. Even if it was your cousin ;)

There are cultural, and societal rules within this community. If there are people want to participate in the game, (private or shockwave) and PTT, they need to behave in a decent manner. Just because we don't admin the shockwave servers doesn't mean people can't be held accountable.
Chong did the same thing. Where is he now.

If they did nothing wrong, why is Jordan saying he was wrong and appologized?

Do what you want, I really don't care. This system works, and we, (the ACA) will continue to use it in this fashion.

Shockwave may not have rules, but you should keep in mind that acting in a bad manner and effecting the gameplay in a bad way does not keep regular or new people coming back to play again. It's the worst for Bravetree who may lose some prospect buyers, because of the unmature action.

See thats where your wrong, when I had my new game type open {Ùع}CÒÓL/§§/§ cussed in my server. Even though he has been banned in my servers before. I know for a fact that must players that act inappropriately in other servers will do the same in yours, if they think the server has been left unattended. I have tons of message logs to prove it.

Frankly, that's a load of horse hockey. You don't get it. That's logically the same as saying "If someone is being beaten, robbed, or raped, you could just stay out of it. It'll probably stop in a few minutes." That just enables bad behavior, and encourages it to continue.

The games in that server were going along just fine. I had been in there for a few minutes, and was enjoying it. Good players, good action.

Then "the police" show up and start telling people what to do. The players repeatedly told him he wasn't needed, and to leave the game alone. (For those of us who have had other "TT Police" experiences, that name holds its own unique stench. Don't go there, folks.)

"Police" decided to go on some weird power trip and started hassling napalm (but didn't know who napalm was). Then UFO joined in by BMing. At that point, the fun evaporated completely.

Nap showed them he had the ability to back up his demands that they stop, but they chose to keep going. They earned their consequence.

Actions speak louder than words. Actions show your character more than apologies. (and we all need to apologize from time to time- nobody's perfect)

Trollish actions show trollish character. Trolls deserve consequences.

Ok what a thread this has been. I have to agree with LGM, action is louder then words. Saying sorry is one thing. But only if you mean it. Personally I do think they should be banned but only for a short time to let them know you mean what you say. I also belive even in a ruleless server you should act the way youd act in a private server. People will remember more of the wrong you did then the good. And cool if you did do it dont blame or lie on your sister or cousin. We know if its you or not. The ACA is not something fool.

Yeah...You shouldn't break out in a ruckus just because the adult is gone. It doesn't matter whether you get caught, it matters whether what you did was wrong.
