4. Install

5. Click on the icon and play

The game looks really nice. Did you scan it with any malware and spyware tool when playing it? Just to make sure the game is clean.

It's clean I've been playing it for a while

CUC, no worries this time, its open-sourced, it was me that found it :P
I love the campaign mode, like you have to escort a tank to an Axis base (yea its based on ww2) and then blow up the wall and blow up the fuel depots :)
Or if your an Axis stop the allies from building the bridges etc to get to the base and the fuel depots :)
Cool game! Many mods and millions of servers (yea, really!!! Greatest community I have ever seen! Yesterday there were 26.345.225 servers on according to what the game told me!)
I cant play it for 2 weeks but its a great game, a bit complicated but once you learn all the controls and other things you can even get a flamethrower and cook your dinner (enemy soldiers if you didnt get what the dinner was)

Well actruly your wrong. I found that game about 4 -6 months ago. I just didnt think you guys would like it.

YES! Finally another Linux game!

This is a great game. For those history buff's who enjoyed "band of brothers" you'll get a kick out of this. The play is like the movie - when you're getting shot at the screen shakes.

I already told you: I'm protected! If you dont know I install at least 1 FREE app per day, and have only had ad-ware/spy-ware when the computer was new and I didnt really care about them, then it happened, and one of the worst kinds! I took a month with porn pop-ups and browser hijacking to fix it lol but then I found a great removery tool and it worked great, since then I'm protected :)

Hey silbarcalis, well sorry if I offended you. Well I said to them I couldn't install it, but they said why? And I had to tell them. Besides I am also paranoid about "FREE" online games. :P

Oh well. I'll be more wise about these kind of situations later on.

everytime I run it, it eventually crashes....

So the game crashes when it tries to rotate to another map? If so, I think you need more RAM for your computer. I got 512 KB of RAM and the game runs smoothly for me. :o

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how am I supposed to know if I'm facing an enemy? When I played, I would think I'm shooting an enemy but it turns out to be an ally.

Zeonic you have to get used to it. You have to get used to knowing the Axis and the Allies clothes. If you don't you might end up being banned/kicked for team-killing. Most people there ain't that bright. However, you can always expalin your reasons by chatting to them by pressing "t" for chat.

I'm hooked to this game too, cant play it from here, web not cheap, but when my holidays end, I'll be playing like never before :P
I normally am covert ioos so I can disguise as enemys, or engineer, or soldier cos of flamethrowers and paunzerfausts

Ah, I didn't know that enemies wouldn't show their info. Now I know.

Only thing I haven't liked is trying to figure out all of my weaponry so I know what to do at the right time. Lol

Is anybody having troubles with the 2.60 ET patch? I install it, but I always get an error message when I try to even launch the game. Do I have to press the original ET application and not the ETDED?

But when I un-install the game and re-install it back, everything is version 2.55 ET again and working. :[

Where am I going wrong with this patch?

As far as I know, you click the original. ET.exe

Nevermind I fixed the problem. I was missing dinput8.dll in my WINDOWS/system. It's all fixed now.

I think I'm getting the hang of the game now. I play on the GameSpy server. Usually Axis. Name, Zeonic. I know I got light, medic, and field maxed out. That's all I remember, though.

Cough haven't been can anyone host a main server for TT players

I've been wondering. Thexp save that some servers have.. How long does it actually save the xp? 'cause I could play in, say, the HFK server for a while, then exit out of the game for a while. Return to that server, and all my xp will be gone.

Nail, a staff of ET, said that starting out fresh own to 0 XP is the whole point of the game. Besides, it's more fair if you start with 0 XP since the other people have to work hard for it, also.

EDIT: Oh and also, I join servers that are 'etpro' since it doesn't modify the game that much. Those mods that are JayMod and 'etpub' change your game. They change the original allied flag to something ugly.

Well, they changed my mines to flowers, UNTIL I LEFT THE SERVER! If I came back there they were! Nothing was overwritten, in any other server it works fine, like originally! So you're wrong :P

The mines were flowers?! Ok some people are 'mentally' challenged. Ok, I'll just go to any mod that has a preview picture on it. Thanks for the announcement Art Crazy. XD
