Since there is a thread about Time Magazine's Person of the Year, I thought it might be interesting to see who the TT community thinks would be the TT Person of the year. It would not necessarily be the best or the most popular player either. Just as TankGirl mentioned in that thread, many people have won the Time Mag honor who weren't that popular or even liked, such as Bin Laden!

Anyway, It could be someone like -Z- for his work on PTT or Dash and MonkeeMan for their mods...etc...etc..
Shoot, it could even be someone like Chong for bringing such passion (for good or bad, better or worse) to the game!

I nominate Dan MacDonald for stepping up and taking over extra duties after -z-'s disappearance, in helping keep planetthinktanks.com alive, in assigning new moderators which have helped clean up the forums, and for going the extra mile to get upgrades to the servers that host our favorite site and some of the games as well, in the never ending challenge to reduce lag.

I would have to vote for dash and his dash codes. For me it has totaly changed TT. I was very close to leaving TT due to all the team killing and swearing. Heck, it was hard getting in a game without a loser trying to ruin it. Now, I have played many great games with many great people!

I'm with Nuts & Om - would be a tie between DanMac & dash....as far as TT goes.

As far as PTT, I would have to give a nod to fo fo, stinky, JJ, Rabban, Tally and the rest of the political crew for keeping the conversation....shall we say.....stimulating.

DanMac has my vote,close behind is napalm,who in my opinion is the best community person besides Tg.

I would have to say Dash would be my TT Person of the year. Dash has put much effort into keeping this game interesting and pleasurable from both sides, Player and Admin. Dash has routinely come up with entertaining terrains and has improved the control over the administration side it hosting a server. Dash also hosts dedicated servers for all of us to enjoy! Dash as well has captain'd a TBM team for several seasons.

Dash as well has been very free in sharing th emission files as well as all of the code. In addition he regularly help inexperienced people work out their issues although it is certainly not his responsibility to do so. With all of that he also finds some way to be one of the many top players!!!!

I would be gone if not for dash's effort. I truly appreciate it.

Dan mac has my top vote for stepping in when the community was crying for help.

Lonewolf is a close second for his work cleaning up the forumns. There has been a lot less trash talk since he's been moderating. Good job wolf.

Tally ho, lep and supra (and whoever else helps out with psl and tbml) deserve mention for running the leagues which still offer the absolute best and most intense action to be found in tt.

Then there are the modders and the hosters. Dash, rooster, monkee, reagx, kbc, and anyone else im forgetting right now deserve mention for providing the arena's we play on. Special mention to dash for providing us with the very helpful admin codes!

And to top off this love fest all you who play with decency, consideration, and respect deserve a mention....you know who you are! ;)

After reading some of the posts above, I have to say that this would be a hard decision to make for the award. There are many personalities here that contribute greatly to the games, forums, and in other aspects.

Props to dash, Reagent X, Monkeeman and Rooster for their hosting and MOD work.

Props to all the moderators on ptt.com, like Lonewolf, TH, KBC, Rabby and DEEJ for helping keep things in line here.

Props to TH, Stinky, 44, Mamph, Rabby, Chief, JJ, JB and others for providing such interesting reading here on the forums. ;)

And anybody else I'm forgetting, props to you too!

I say all the modders, like Billy Bob and Art Crazy, Ben and Repent, they all do wonderful jobs bringing entertainment to those who just aren't in the mood for scrum or battlemode. Other than that, I would have to go with DanMac or Dash.

Anyone who has had to deal with imposters, haters, creeps and jerks in general and is STILL PLAYIN THE GAME has my vote for tankers of the year.

I'd nominate all the mod's they have stepped up and kicked some major @$$, all I did was grant a few people moderation powers. They took their jobs seriously and did their best to help clean things up. I think they've done a great job.

LONEWOLF(UF/AB) : For being a fun, friendly guy, who takes his moderating job seriously and does a GREAT job of being a mod, but is still like anyone else on PTT and loves to talk and discuss TT and Pheasent Hunting. XD

DanMac : For helping everyone else, being an open person, and being a friendly admin.

Art Crazy© : For help with my some of my scripts, and even though sometimes he can get a bit over the top and start fuming, he's a great guy.

Chong© : For adding some spice to TT and PTT, and for turning his behavior COMPLETLEY in the other direction, and actually saying "Please" and "Thank-you"!

-z- gets my vote. He (and Danmac) took the rapidly detiriorating situation in the GG forums & started a great community with PTT, gave us CTF & servers to play on (now lag free & oh, so much more enjoyable thx to danmac), & made numerous other contributions to the TT masses. Thanks for all you've done for us -z- (wherever you are)!

I vote for -z-. If he had never put up this site we all would'nt be here.When I first got the game 2 years ago he played a lot.He helped me improve myself in PTT. I wonder where he is now......

Thanks for the mention. Being a close second to TankGirl is an honor, especially since I voted her the best PTT poster as well.

Note: After reading all of the insightful replies to my original post for TT Player of the Year, I've come to the conclusion that the TT experience does take a village, not a single person, to make it what it is. We NEED modders, moderators, players and posters. We NEED all of you in order to make TT and PTT the wonderful experience it can be sometimes. With that said, I think everyone nominated and mentioned should share the award, which is nothing more than a virtual bucket of pride. Keep up the great work! I just wanted to make sure that you special people got recognized for all of the great work you've done! We appreciate you all!
