Ok blueflame, if you are running XP, your notepad will fold as much as you like (but I doubt that TT can) so just try notepad again. Which map are you using?
I'm using freiudian flats and if you're talking about windows XP I'm not using that, it messes up all my games for some reason
You have one messed up system then. Ok go to my computer, click on local disk, then program files, then bravetree, then thinktanks.
After that go to game, then data, then missions, the TT1_4.mis.
Right click on it and hit open with...select browse and find notepad.
Now open the ORIGINAL freudian flats with notepad.
If you are using modwiz, first change the floor setting and everything you need to change in the scripting, then use modwiz. It should work, and if it dont, you need to have ur comp looked at.
*(it dont matter wat windows, this should work!!!)*
THANKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK YYOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I'm a lizard oink oink
Wait I don't need notepad since I have uni red which probably does everything that notepad does, so back to my firwst question. How do I fix the problem where if I type something I can't start up the mod? And by type something I mean add in this stuff
Lightprojectile.emitter= "lightparticalemitter";
("game/server/scripts/emitters.cs");
Or tank speeds

Wait a lizard don't go oink onik!! XO
It goes quack quack remember????? :P
Ok, get rid of the uni crap it dont work (its a rip, notepad is best). You put Lighttank.maxspeed = #; right below OBJECT WRITE END. Make sure that there is a space between each thing you type after that:
EXAMPLE:
Lighttank.maxspeed = 100;
Mediumtank.maxspeed = 100;
And so on.
As far as extra datablocks go, (like emitters, tankchangers,etc) you put this little exerpt at the top of your mis file:
Exec("game/server/scripts/emitters.cs");
(or watever the case may be. You also put this little line at the very bottom of you game/server/prefs.cs and game/client/prefs.cs files to make these extra datablocks work. (I DONT MEAN THE PREFS.CS.DSO FILES! LEAVE THOSE ALONE!!!)
If you have any problems lemme know!

Notepad really isnt all that great, I have never used Unired (I think thats wha you said) but it is probably better. Any reall HTML editor could own natepad any day, hands down. BTW, I suggest you put it in the.mis, sometimes it dissapears if you put it in prefs.
Aight go to this website: HERE
Read what it says. Click on tankchangers and hit save. Put it in the game/server/scripts file.
Then take that little exerpt: exec("game/server/scripts/tankchangers.cs");
Copy and paste it to the bottom of the game/server/prefs.cs (not dso) file and the game/client/prefs.cs (not dso) file.
Paste it again right before OBJECT WRITE BEGIN in your mis file where you want that tankchanger.
Open up TT and go into the map you are modding. Turn on modwiz, and then find the spot where you want that changer.
Place a rock on that spot. Drive up to that rock and hit CTRL+1 and the CTRL+4. Then hit T about 55 times. This will raise the rock.
Put a powerup under that rock.
Exit TT and go to the mis file where you just did this. At the very bottom there will be a new testpowerup. Change the word testpowerup to ufochanger (or watever tank you want)
Right above that, you will see a new TTstatic. It will have a little exerpt like this in it: "game/data/shapes/green/rock03.dts or watever. Change this to game/data/shapes/tanks/tank04 (or 05).dts if it is a ufochanger. If it is any other tank changer, just leave this TTstatic alone (you cant have a tank over a reload station because there is ammo in the regular tanks) then go back to TT and try out your tankchanger. If you did it like I said it will work! ;)
Lemme know I this works!
-your friend scotty
I like notepad michael, its never done me wrong! XD ;)
Well scott 4get the lesson I wana play thinktanks bye!
Lol use it when you want to !
Wait what "line" did you want me to paste in prefs?
Well I use notepad too, but I was just saying the facts. :) Also this thread could have saved you alot of typing scotty. http://planetthinktanks.com/comm-thread.asp?thread=958&forum=2
Lol
Ya I know michael, I have reffered ppl to that tread. I just like to type! XD ;) and ya I know that there are other scriptwriting programs such as that uni thing, I just prefer notepad because my computer reacts better to it. B)

Ok I installed this new program called unired and it still flips out whenI add new directions. When I added tank speed it wouldn't run my mod. When I added emitter coding it didn't let me run my mod. Please help? Thank you
