Well, when im on TT I see many peoples mods that always have bots in them. Rarely 1-2 people. They are some of the mods that are worked hard on, and should be used but arent.

New peoples mods that are hosted [e.g mega awesome terrain funzone area!] probably wont be used often because of the long wait.

Like for example, "mad bots" by KC is always full. Why? Because it has the original terrains [frued. Flats, cranium crater] that people are used to and dont need to wait 10 minutes to play at, and doesnt take the time to get the pre. Dl and install.

So, peoples MOD servers arent used that often. Post your opinions why they arent full.

I think they arent full because of the pre-downloads, the long load and the lack of players. If 0 players are in a mod, do you think playing would be fun?

*just trying to start a conversation, and im wondering why.........

Note: mega awesome terrain funzone area! Isnt a real mod.

That's exactly true but for people like me who have been around a while. Thse maps are only good for 1 or 2 plays before I'm bored and need to move on.

There are 200 great maps to play on with a simple addition. Eventually if nobody plays the mods, they will stop being made, the game will be stale and the community will parish.

The funny part is most people who play the modded terrains say how much of a blast they are and Psycho scrum has been "stock map free" for two seasons now. There's a lot of fun to be had if people would just get their shit together.

I got my two years+

Play em, or don't.

I agree with Naplam,
Eventuraly your going to change your mind as well and play the MOD maps. Even if it takes 5 or 50 minutes to play them I will wait. Why, becuase this is a costom made map. Also its a map that someone put alot of effort into. I do like KC's server, lag free and the admins make it that way. BUT its much more entertaning if you play a map that is so "out of this world". Havent you ever felt the need to explor to make it a challenge to get to the scrum goal. I meen the schockwave servers are fun, but so dang old. I have nerver play in the leauges, but I see the servers up all the time.
Now there are some old maps that are MOD's without useing TGE. Im modding the old maps. Im also hosting. 24/7 servers. I do like some old maps. But I think its time to move on and get BIGGER, BADDER, kick your mom in the rump maps going and thats what Naplam, Roo, CrapBlaster, dash, ScyTheMan, ect.

Everthing has to die at some point.

Yes, but my maps are potentially ignored. :( I always work so hard on them. They are some of the best maps most people will see. I only get people to join if they know me, my good friends... I wish my maps would be more liked. I guess I make them for self-pleasure, because nobody else even gives them a chance...

All that needs to be done is set up a good set of maps, and a reoccuring time to play. The Mod and Expansion packs are a breeze to install and help is available if desired.

If KC hosts some modded maps, it will still be a full server. People will go play where others are playing.

If a person lets one of the modded maps load they will already have most of the Expansion Pack elements. There aern't that many. One you have them, you have them.

Those stock maps have some really great features, and lots of fun, but after a while, everyone knows you can use the arrow to fly over there, the boost pad on the hill will take you right near the goal over there...

The wide variety of mods we can play on now are awesome. I play on both stock and modded maps, but always enjoy getting to know the new terrains and the little tricks each one allows. Without the mods, I think I would have stopped playing a couple of months ago. (Although a good game in a stock map with skilled teams is always a good time.)

The mods are easy to install, and remember, variety is the spice of life!
