There is a mistake in the mission syntax
if even one character is missing it willl stop loading
try running an original mission that u didnt mod
then if u find its just the mod compare it to the known good one
ie does the terrain block point to a valid map
or is there a missing " or } somewhere
hope this helps

Nope, the original ones are down the toilet as well.
I am trying to retrace my steps, but everything I did I knew what I was doing.
It doesn't have to do anything with the.mis file, because even the un-modded ones don't work.
When I load a server,I get absolutly no name or datablocks loading, just a blank screen...
What does the command line or terminal window state as you launch the server. There should be some information in there is something can't be found.
For these types of reasons you should do make a copy of your TT folder right before you do some modding. You can always revert to the known good copy. If you start to mod again make another copy just prior. You should prepare for these failings until you know TT in and out. Many people who host servers have 3 and 4 copies of thier game folder.
I'm not criticizing you as I just went through this last Friday. Just a suggestion.....

I can't launch a dedicated server,I have another TT folder, but that would overwrite ALL of my modding stuff.
Plus,I don't even know what the problem is,so just replacing stuff might make it worse.
Make a copy of the good folder. Then move your modded stuff from the folder that doesn't work to the one that does. Launch the server after each move to verify the server will work. When it doesn't work then the last thing moved or changed it what's wrong. You may want to replace the server prefs.cs. A main cs. Files with known working ones and then change the known working ones. This will narrow down to which area is having the breakdown.
Might as well re-install...*sigh*
Thanks for helping...
I know it seem like you may as well re-install but you need to find out where the problem is. Reinstalling wont get you there, piecing in the changes will let you know that information.
I just cleaned out prefs and main, they are not the prob.
Maybe pokemalo can point out the problem...
Try launching the server with the -log 1 and see if there is any information in the log.
These batch files can be edited in Notepad and -log 1 can be added to the end of the program path (on the second line of the file). Next time this file is run (after you have saved it) all the console window output will be saved to a file called 'console.log' in the main ThinkTanks folder.
For example, this is what file 'TT1_2TS.bat' looks like:
Cd..
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_2.mis -game TS -log 1

Shockwave is a bunch of idiots,I can't do dedicated or go see what the problem is.
Well Enigma, if you really DO know the answer, show us here how intellegent you really are and post the answer to Ledgendary's question! ;)
So you don't know how to answer his question?
...so you don't know how to answer his question?
Yeesh...
Please remember that this is a thread to help Legendary. Useless bantering removed. Stop feeding the trolls.

Yessir! XD I know I shouldn't, but sometimes it's irresistable. Yeah, it just bounces off his iron-plated hollow head, but it's fun every once in a while to see how stupid they actually are.
Edit: Sorry Enigma. I've been requested to stop teasing the animals. Have fun.

Uuuh....
*Cough*
So... *Twiddles thumbs*
Kettles?
Heee... XD
Sorry Leg. If I had any advice on your problem I'd offer it. "I suggest you fix it" is as good as I can do though.
Welcome to the world of modding.
Step 1: Backup original mission and terrain files.
Step 2: Mod your heart out.
Step 3: If crashing, confirm if it is a corrupted app or a corrupted mission by plugging the original files in.
Step 4: If you skipped Step 1, then download the demo and GET THEM.
We can't tell if it's a preference file, mission file, or the app itself until you start narrowing things down. Save your mods to another directory and put in the original mission files. If it works, then we'll know it's in your mods. Put mods back in just a couple files at a time until the crash re-appears. Now you'll know which offending files to start debugging.

My comp does the same thing.
Hola!
Legend, I had the same problem. I was messing with the tankdb.cs file (trying to change the antislide rate & maxspeed variables). I changed antislide rate from 11.1 to 5.1 and maxspeed from 11.9 to 20.9. The screen blanked out black. I had to force quit TT and readjust the variables correctly to make the serving server part of TT work again. Everything now A OK.
Does anyone know the safe range for these mentioned variables?
Me love you all.

Turns out it was codes 0.03's message.cs doing that corrupted my TT abilties.
And...Can any Windows XP user send me codes 0.05? Mine won't accept the original download.

Marik, the tankdb.cs.dso file IS what I was trying to edit. Write it in a seperate file? LOL! That's way beyond me. :)
Do people edit this file or no?

.dso is the compiled file,if you mod that then you might as well try to mod a monkey.
Go download the.cs files in the Utilities section.
Cool :)
Thank you legend.

Everytime I load my server,I end up with a blank screen. Blank Screen as in no name or "Loading datablocks" crap.
I did some modding before the problem, and I was hoping that someone knows what is wrong and how to fix it. I am NOT gonna re-install TT,this problem can be solved without that alternative! I did not delete ANYTHING.
Please reply. I already miss modding...
