Felt a need to put something together that wasn't "just another filter". ;)

Spent a few weeks thinking about it, a day or so drawing the shapes in Illustrator and another couple of days in Photoshop adding color and effects.

Its up on the website now.

I dig the h.r. Giger influence in the 'ribs'. Scary! The turret looks like it has eyes!
good color theme, and the way you rendered the metal adds great depth.
my only beef (nitpicking here) is the blue circle with the lightning on the side of the tank...seems a little too bright for my taste.

So good to see more than just light tank skins!

E*t - You're right! The turrent is supposed to infer a skull. If you look closely, there are some nose slits near the base of the barrel and the barrel base (as I call it) implies sharp teeth.

And yes, I'm influenced by some of Giger's ideas (especially on my "Beast" skin). The light areas on the sides, front and rear are supposed to be brigher since they represent the energy sources for powering the tank. It IS the future you know. ;)

Once LW comes through with that promised e-mail, I'll post the skin on my site and you can load it up in your favorite viewer and spin it around and see the skull clearer from above.
