Homelan (a web/game server company) was hosting the TT servers for free. Then they stopped.

Why did they stop anyway? It was pretty good playing indi in those servers. :)

^ Yea, and you could use the UFO there...

It was also the *only* TS server that still ran stock TS maps. Not these modded ones. (I have a thing against modded TS maps)

Why doesnt somebody just dedicate 1 server to rotate all maps with team scrum?

56K I know you're busy, but now that you're a BraveTree official it would be great to send an Official Letter to Shockwave asking them (and including clear instructions, or even access?) to modify the TT game types their servers are actually hosting. A good basic TS server still is missing... Previous threads already discussed the good balance of game types missing, however what's great is several private servers emerged lately to fill the gap... But somehow Shockwave seems to constantly have an excellent bandwith. :)

Joe sent such a letter to shockwave a while back (sans instructions) and the change never happened. Maybe it's been long enough that another would be appropriate.

As for HomeLAN, my guess is they didn't want to continue to pay for the bandwith for a game that wasn't making them any money. They shut down their Orbz servers too.

@Cadc, I don't know of any such sites.
