Uh huh...

Well,I have a dream that my glasses mutated into this monster thing,I'll TRY to describe it.

It was like a giant human,no neck, huge arms that touched the ground, with sword length claws at the end. It's legs were bended backwards, ending with large feet,oh yeah, its skin was blackish, and extremely wrinkled and rotten.

The whole dream involved throwing harpoons and running, which I had found in the front yard,at it until it fell,I had to dodge its attacks. Finally,it transformed back into my glasses, and I put 'em on. Dream ended.

What's disturbing is that I remembered every single detail, down to the splintery handles of the harpoons.

YIKES Legendary!
Sounds like some kinda issue with your glasses in your waking state. Do you dislike having to wear glasses? Are your eyes getting worse?

Wow, thanks TG for starting this. I always had one about Think Tanks. It all starts like this...
I dreamt that I was being screamed at to win by someone with the name tag of NUTS! And I was like woah name seems familiar with the rest of our "group" as he referred. PaNzEr gsp, supratank (but instead of tank it had said man. Supraman), Shrike, CrapBlaster. They were all there. So I was looking around to see that (DAS)Dark Mumke dropped in the land from the skie with him standing on top of his tank controlling it with a keyboard and trackball. I had mouse. Well seeing that It reminded me of the matrix revolutions on how they controlled the machines. Very similar...continuing we all teleported into our "cockpits" And did I do my worst ever. I woke up after my tank was smoked...Still remember how adveturous that was! Wow I should think TT much more.

I had a dream the other night where I was preaching to 6 people, and none of them were listening, no wait, maybe that wasn't a dream...

I dont remember my dreams, I haven't remembered a single one of my dreams for 2 and a half years. You guys think that is wierd?

Tuesday, February 01, 2005 at 8:50:01 PM

I have memorable dreams about every 2 months or so. I go weeks without them but then suddenly will have them every day for a few days.

After much thought, and recollection.. What I have found is that my dreams come predominantly from 3 things....

1) Stress - Not "in your face" stress,I can deal with that, but rather that sub -conscience stress that comes from more of a sense of dread. Almost always it's something that I know is coming up in the near future and I do not quite know how to deal with it.. The kind of things you really don't want to dwell on. Like maybe guilt, or some other simple thing, a neglected responsibility, a looming confrontation on something that touches a nerve, etc

2) Unfinished thoughts... If I am talking with someone about a subject and the conversation is disrupted.. My dream will in some convuluted way, include this subject and attempt to bring closure to it. Many times in a very metaphorical sense.

3) Weird food. Seriously, If I go for a few weeks eating generally common types of food and then suddenly eat Morroccan, I have some crazy dreams. Native AMericans thought the spirits of the animals they killed became one with theirs and gave it strength ( or weakness) so they would always try to kill the largest males on hunts.

Knowing all this, I have begun to take cues from dreams, I do not take their meaning literally but rather simply admit that it's my brains attempt to prepare me for something, or help me out..
or I just ate a over seasoned Brazilian taquito.

K8, in my amateur psychologitic opinion.... You sound like you have a lot of buried issues that you probably haven't resolved. ( We all them but yours seem to be coming to a boil.)

This would be my personal translation o f those...

-- I had a dream that I was in army boot camp, standing in the doorway of a Humvee (the door was removed) and we were driving at an incredibly high speed in some green foothills. The humvee climbed a small hill and suddenly got air and flew a long LONG ways. The flight was very TTish and I screamed the entire time, but the landing was very smooth.

Dr Sniper: )In a thick German accent) "I feel lucky or undeserving about something where I triumphed over chaos and I did it by depending on someone else. "We" were driving. Not me. --- I need to give someone credit for something."

--In another dream, a friend of mine picked me up from behind and I accidentally farted on him... I was mortified. (not very classy, but what can I say... It was a dream)

Dr Sniper: I am feeling anxious about declining sexual attractiveness.

--In another dream, Caryn was getting frisky (and very aggressive (which I liked a lot)) with me, then when I was "on the edge" she abruptly lost interest and told me that she was having an affair. (I woke up REALLY pissed off at her).

Dr Sniper: I am feeling anxious about declining sexual attractiveness.

--In another dream, my children were killed. (yuck, I woke up crying, and cried for a long time)

Dr. Sniper: Stressing over guilt, possibly over parenting-mothering?

--In another dream, I was dying of a disease and had to tell my kids.

Dr Sniper: Recentlyyou pondered what life would be like, sans-kids and you felt guilty for even dweeling on it for a moment--your brain repays you with this dream to set you straight and let you know the deal. It's a self-correcting mechanism.

--In another dream, I was cooking dinner. (nothing exceptional other than it seemed SO real and fun, and the smells were there and the foot tasted incredible)

Dr. Sniper: Where in Connecticut is there a Morroccan resataurant?

--In another dream, I wrote a song, a good one. (I woke up with the song in my head and sang it most of the morning)

Dr. Sniper: you resolved one of the issues cauing one of your dreams. Your brain rewards you with a shiny, happy people dream.

In addition, I have had the usual garden variety of falling, drowning, and being chased by evil people (and once by a Bengal Tiger) dreams.

Dr. Sniper: Always, always, my work stress drerams are personified by large animals. Not the scary animals with fangs and teeth but big ones. Buffalo, a moose, a large dark horse.... I'm always in a large field with only a few shrubs here and there, maybe a slight roll in the terrain and maybe knee high weeds etc... Essentially I'm "exposed to something that's not scary until it has to be dealt with or gotten closer to.... Clients are dark horses that are bucking and stomping.... Other concepts... Like at tax time I have had a few IRS dreams... But they were simply Buffalo looking at me steadily... Only a few hundred feet away... Very imposing.

In short K8, you're frazzled.. And your brain is trying to help you figure it out.

@ Legendary

Dr. Sniper: you have a fear of dealing with a perceived weaknesses or you are embarrassed about something that puts a burden on you.

@ Slipstreem

Dr. Sniper: You fear social situations or new situations and seek to escape.

All of this was written with no offense intended. Had I had the dreams written above these would be my interpretations.

G'nite all.

Sniper

Very odd dreams, I had one a few nights ago.
It was the oddest dream.

I'd wake up standing on a beach looking out at the ocean on a purple diamond lying on the ground and every time (I would "go into another scene" in the same place) id
die in a different way. 'Corse the dream got really wierd and started killing me by me choking on a giant squid....

I woke up dazed and, after a nice hour of reading a book, went back to bed. :)

Pretty funny dreams.
Heres the last one I can remember..

I was in my house watching TV when there was a newsflash about a tornado coming around where I live(I live in New Orleans, a place that doesnt get tornados that often). I put on my shoes and went outside and I saw it. I ran around looking for a safe place, but I couldnt find one. All of a sudden I saw a Lamborghini Gallardo, and I dont know how, but I was just inside the car and driving away from the tornado with the petal to the metal. Then, *POOF* the tornado was gone, I wasnt driving me dream Lamborghini. I was just watching TV. Then I woke up.

Odd huh, I think I should stop playing Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2.

Man, I had a dream where a alarm clock attacked me. That was the most scarry dream ( also considering that I was 4 years old, and anything would be scarry at that age) I have ever had. Hard to remeber dreams but I can sure remember that one......
I dont usually remember the bad ones that I have had.... B)

Oh ya, one great dream I had about thinktanks was Where I was up against Fatlips, Bolo, The Prof, Jangles, Nathen, -z-, bitting Gnat and I think roach. So they were all on the green team and I was the only one on the blue in scrum.... And what was good about it was that I got a score of 10 and the green team got 2 points. Then it got messed up. I saw a tank come out of my computer screen ( I think it was Jangles) and started to attack me. Then I woke up. Man what a dream. I still want to think that the first part wasnt a dream. B)

I rarley, if ever, remember any dreams I have.( if I had any) The last one I can remember must be close to two years old.
--I got into a fight over something with a old man and returned to my house to get something. I had a trench coat on and I loaded it up with every type of gun possible (it was a lot like the first Matrix just with more guns) I then drove to some junk yard where he was and we both just started unloading everything we had. Running, ducking, diving, there were thousands of bullets going everywhere for what seemed like a long time, but we never hit each other once. And an old lady who I thought was his wife kept getting between us with a plate of cookies aksing if we wanted one. Everytime she was hit with a round she would fall back and bounce up like those old punching dummies. Eventually we ran out of bullets and just stopped fighting. Completely.

That's the last dream I remember. A gunfight with some guy which seemed like a lot of fun. Even though I couldn't hit anything but the old lady.

And why is it only once have I seen anything trippy when I took Ambien? Maybe I need something stronger.
