Why is it when I exit TT, my computer will show my desktop with elongated verticle lines and the only way to correct it is to turn off the computer then back on?

No, all the desktop icons are there but they are elongated or streched out from top to bottom and there are these lines that run top to the bottom of the screen. I cannot escape or ctrl, alt delete. I have to turn the computer off and re-boot.

Sound like a video card problem!
What are you running PC or Mac and what kinda card?
Do you have the latest drivers?
Are you free or viruses and spybots?
Were you multitasking?

It's a Dell PC with an intergrated Intel 3D extreame graphics card, I got good security and I was not multitasking. Thanks for responding, let me know if you got any ideas.

I would try going to the Dell website and checking for newer drivers.
The chip seems to stick when changing resolutions
Another thing you could try is matching your TT res to your desktop resolution
It might help if the chip doesnt have to jump between two settings
If any other ideas or solutions pop up I will post them
