I'm thinking of giving TS more of a try than I have in the past, and I wanted to see what advice you would give me. Seriously, though. Please don't tell me to never shoot you, always give you the scrum, or other such wise advice.

I have tried it on and off, and it's different enough that I feel like a rookie when I play. I was in a game earlier tonight that got really full, and it was intense. It was amazing to see how different the game is with a team dynamic. Passing is key, but also how does defense work? What can I do to help my team out?

I look forward to your advice, TS vets. Thanks!

Simple TS Rules I Learned Over Time

Your Team has the Ball:
-------------------------------------
1. If the ball carrier is smoking and you aint, take the ball away

2. If the ball carrier is comming towards the goal and there are enemies in the way, try to lead them away from the ball and/or kill them for the ball carrier's safe passage

3. Always obey what the ball carrier says, ie: "Set Arrow!" means set the nearest arrow towards the goal

4. If LONEWOLF is playing... Be on his team, you dont want to be playing against him... He is good... :P

5. Do not engage the enemy if you have the ball, let your teammates do that for you (of course if you know you can score... Go ahead... :P )

Enemy Team has the Ball:
-----------------------------------------
1. Kill the ball carrier and take it away at all costs (teams are good at this, occupy the player with more than one person... He is as good as dead)

2. Based on the situation, if someone on your team is closer to a freshly dropped ball, block the enemy from getting to it

The rest is all you and how your game reflects you as a player
be creative, do acrobats while careening over enemy tanks to make a goal...

Camp, battlemode, and block.

DON'T MAKE TEAMS UNEVEN WHEN YOU JOIN A GAME- sit in a corner if it's an odd number of players
ALWAYS PASS WHEN SMOKING. -look for smoking teammates that need a pass
NEVER RUN TO GOAL WHEN SMOKING. -see above
USE YOUR RADAR. -especially when camping or bming
HAVE FUN. -its just a game!

Cant wait to kill ya! :)

Yeah I agree LGM, TS is a more complex game than indie and I like it a lot better. You can play different roles, runner, goal clearer, wing man, etc. Keep at it and you will soon develop a feel for doing "what needs to be done". The main thing is that you don't have to do it all yourself, you can pass when your health is low and you can rescue the ball when your health is good. Have fun! Oh, and watch out for ET!

Yeah, thas' a good idea L.

Indie get's some what repetitive after a while. With TS, though...each game is always something different, and personally, that's the attractive part.

Be aware of your surroundings...is there a rock I can use for cover? How does the change in terrain elevation allow/exclude targeting?

Never force a bad shot. If you don't have a good shot, don't take it (unless you got game and know you can pull it off). Setting picks is crucial. It can take longer to kill an enemy than to set a pick...you have to judge when to use which. It will become intuitive (well, for the good players it does. Some people are slower...) I assume you have received "The Bible" which does contain good info, but it's all about improvisation and playing the role you have at that time.

Anticipate what's going to happen - be deceptive - give Prof the rock ;)

Prof, what's this crap about you being at he end?

Didn't you give me the "whatcha talking bout Willis?"

You can't go. I won't let you. Now get back in the game.
