Hands up who thinks we should kick all demo's from all private servers?

Friday, November 17, 2006 at 4:03:15 PM

Why? They're potential buyers of the game. Just treat them like you would any other player; kick them if they're obnoxious.

Demo's are the future

There arent any shockwave or gg servers for them to play on. If it were up to me id only kick the ones who have been around forever and have no intention of buying the game

Kick anyone who plays like a donkey.
Welcome anyone who plays by the rule. :)

What is this?

The demo's can try the game online without buying it right?.,,, I can't do it because of active x error or something. Can someone try this link? Is this why they removed the shockwave servers?

We all were demos once....

Be nice Bloop ;)

Friday, November 17, 2006 at 8:21:16 PM

Demos cant play in TS or TBM
Most private servers are already immune
and yes we were all demos once

Banning them is counter productive to Bravetree and I say
"First rule - do no harm"

I like to change the demos' tanks to light and then centerprint this; "Demos: please shoot only at the scrum carrier and don't camp in the goal". I think many of them "misbehave" out of ignorance and frustration with the medium tank.

If they're new, explain what not to do.(Camping, BMing, etc) If they continue to do it, just give 'em the boot. Everyone has to learn sometime... ;)

Pass the popcorn...

Be nice to the kids they are the future. (Agreed) Some kids become trouble teenagers, but such is life. ;)

If it would be up to me. I wouldn't mind to let the DEMO's play under any tank. I see no point for restrictions of tanks...

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 7:27:32 AM

Once a n00by demo decided it was fun to moan at me because I was BMing...... In a BATTLEMODE SERVER!!!.....

But let the good ones stay. Ban the bad ones. Just because they're demos doesn't mean we can't ban them.

If we do not abuse them, they will have no need or desire to become an owner of the full version. I say we keep up the abuse and we also keep them out of our servers!

Same here lololol, I dont mind demos, as long as someone can actually see my server there welcome

I agree with Blind Cide and a lot of others,

Why do demo's camp?
Medium tanks cannot hook up with lights, so in order to get a chance to score they have to camp. Many don't know that little trick to get a light in the demo.
So we could just give em a light.

Why do demo's shoot everyone and not just the scrum carrier?
They might not know what to do or how to score, I remember myself being a demo in one of my first games while I was getting irritated that I had a zero score after killing some other tanks. Only later I found out the true purpose of a Scrum game.
If we explained them what to do then that is sorted out.

Why do demo's act up?
As most of them cannot compete with the highly skilled players we have and get bored very fast. Then they might try to ruin the game.
Nothing can be done against this, except for kicking and banning.

I agree with the man above. Meds are campers, you can't play scrum w/ med without camping. And yes, some don't know the rules, so, give them a chance ;)

Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 11:10:06 AM

"The man above"? Im not God mate ;)
I never was described like "The man above" before, keep it going!

Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 11:42:49 AM

Yes Shutruk is rite and also there are soeme DEMOS that can compete with the best TTers DEMO (Raven) is a very skilled scrumer!!
They should be treated like anyother TTer!

Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 12:36:41 PM

Umm kick demos from private servers??They are potentioal buyers. If you started to be mean to them what do u think will most likley happen. Antoehr 20 dollars down the drain! TT is now shrinking cuase some idiot decided to started being mean 2 a demo ;)

Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 3:30:40 PM

Demos are ppl too XD and besides, they already have enough dealing with the demo time restrictions and restriction on tank selection (for those who still don't know how to by pass them)

Actually now that I think about it, I think demos that know how to hack the light tank should be the ones getting kicked, as they aren't supposed to be allowed to play on any other tank besides medium tank. That way, mabe they'd be inclined to buy the game ;)

So you like DEMO campers ruining your game?

Bad idea cadc! :P

^ demo campers ruining ur game..........I consider that a challenge. You need 2 look at it from another point of view. Ya ther is a newby medium tank camper sitting there shooting at you and not hitting worth crud. (unless they hack then they should die!). You should look at it as a opertunity to use ur kool evasive moves and trick them out. (if u got skillz that is) or if you dont then all you got 2 do is learn. Only people who havent played a lot get caught by the demos. And thoses who have......well they just got 2 learn! %)

Monday, November 27, 2006 at 4:31:22 PM

^ I agree with eagle, even skilled players that camp aren't that great at it, a demo who has little to no experience at it should be easy pickings XD

I believe we should all have our own personal demos that dress up in cheerleader outfits, fetch beer on command, and tell us how great our asses look in our tanks.

Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 5:36:28 AM

What ass?

...the opposite side from your 'turret'

Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 10:19:34 AM

I think that's called the 'back' of the tank. If I recall, ass refers to flesh. The only flesh I have in my tank is my brain. B)

Well said!

I believe in giving DEMOs a chance...I used to be one and I HATED it...stuff like camping and BMing sort of brightened things up XD
