Since this question of names and aliases always comes up on here (we have several lengthy threads on it), I decided to put them all together in one page to keep track of everyone's name and how they came up with them. It's always interesting to see how/why players chose their names.

Nice job but I would like to point out a couple of things;

Anon and tanky are not the same person. I use to think that they were to.

U left out 1# tankster in the hankstatansta alias.

I think jak lee is anon.

I use ttpolice#22 when im bored and just want to chase attack idiots.

I use the name Atrex in Battlemode... I got the names from that movie "The never ending story". Funny thing is that I never really liked the movie... I just thought the names were cool. Aside from that, I only use aliases when I'm playing against anon. He doesn't want to show me his identity, why should I show him mine?

I can state for a certain fact that Anon and Hanksta are not the same. I was on last night, Hanksta was playing Team and Anon was in solo, harassing Norky. I was playing as buzzsaw and beat him 9 to 4, I showed up half way thru the round before and tied him 6 to 6.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Everyone talks about how good a scrummer he is, but so far... I'm not impressed.

I loved the name Gaytheist. I laughed out loud when the name popped into my head. I got some negative responses, but I didn't drop the name because of that (just the opposite, I used that name with the intent of being a bit controversial... It was just a novelty name based on the current religious threads.... It was funny, but the joke could not keep being retold. Anyway, I am glad you remember it. (where have you been lately... I have not seen you in a long time)

Sorry about that. It's up again now. I had to change some things. I've decided to just maintain one text file from now on in an effort to keep things as simple and easy as possible.

By the way, I've sorted the list alphabetically to make it easier to find names (Your listing as well as others).

Please feel free to update the list here or email me any time.

I will add a new section for "SUSPECTED ALIASES" where we take guesses at who owns which names!

Yo Paisano, You can add TankSkank, Princess Monoke, and Sociopath to the list of Anon's names... (not that I keep track or anything...) He's also a renowned imposter. I doubt that JessieJames is anon. JJ is actually pretty cool... Anon was probably impersonating him... As he does many others...

I've posed my old aliased here.

Well let me post mine too. Blackfoot, BrainCramp, Sponge Bob, Stonehead, Half a Brain, Pinkin Lark. Blackfoot is my favorite and I use it because I´m part Blackfoot Indian. BrainCramp is an inside joke because of some dumb things that happend in a few games. Sponge Bob I use when I´m playing against my 7 year old son. Stonehead is a nickname that I had in school. Half a Brain because of some of the dumb stuff that happens to me and Pinkin Lark because Bydand uses Bimp Lizkit and we thought it would be funny. Bydand also uses Woodstock, Brain Dead, and Bimp Lizkit.

Daisy duke...origins obvious to those who have seen and loved Dukes of Hazard. I find I get hassled less with a less aggressive, more feminine name.

Ohio...came from a song by Gillian Welch that goes 'Oh me oh my-oh, look at miss ohio, running around with the rag top down, she says she wants to do right but not right now'... Good song, and I was listening to it when I registered with TT.

There are others but I will keep them to myself for now.

I used to be (demo) lition then I registered as Demolition. (Not to be confused with Demolition Man) When I found out there was also a Demolition Man, my name lost some of it's appeal. I was a bit of a bm'er in scrums at first, but I have gradually become less and less so. So, as I get better, I like to start with a clean slate every now and then. Other names I have gone by recently or not so reccently are: Dirty,Moxy, Zoom Zoom, Spoonman, and Mmm Braains.

Mainly I switch names to keep some of the unpleasant players off my back, as I have a tendency to go right back at them and not let up.

P.s. As for your name Demolition...I would keep it! I don't think it matters if there's a demolition man. Maybe you should change the format and spell it like this: DemoLition or DEMOlition or Demo-Lition.... Everyone would then remember that you were the demo known as lition.

Yeah...I had an itchy trigger finger in the beginning, but the more I play the less it itches. That's why I change names so much...You guys all associate battlemoding with my old names, but I've changed, and I want a clean slate.

Yeah, I was Mule too, but only for a few days when it seemed like all I was doing was being a mule for whoever shot me down inches from the goal. I think someone else was using the name too or maybe impostering.

Another reason I wasn't using Demolition was because JDFNY was impostering me and I just wanted to distance myself from that mess, but now that nobody else can use it, maybe I'll start using it again.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm still looking for ways to get better (see my thread).

I have a few other names I use when someone is constantly out to get me as PEST. (One player used to come back in as PEST Control every time I appeared.......quite funny actually).

Well, not too fast there, buddy boy. While K8 has a healthy amount of aliases, I don't think she has the most. I probably have more, but I am not as honest or confident (or as good!) as she is! She proudly reveals who she is no matter what alias she uses by always indicating (TG).

Most of us don't do that when we go incognito. Yes, she has confessed to playing in disguise every once in a long while, but 99% of the time, TG makes it loud and clear who she is to all of us.

So, back to your contest for the player with the most aliases.... Let's ask everyone to confess and reveal exactly how many aliases they have used or still use. They don't have to reveal all of them (I've only shared a few of them), but just the number of them or an estimation anyway.

I thought obscenities would be a nice touch, but I'd worry in case any of my 3 children were playing. Even though they're grown up, they were still shocked when I dropped my Big Mac in my lap once and said "shit". If only they knew!

To add-on to the alias thing, used to be from memphis, saw it was a nickname in Gone in 60 seconds, so I tried it here and it stuck, Okahe is a Lakota word meaning "it's a good day to die"; was used before and during battle; Tokala was an exclusive Lakota warrior group, known for their ferocity in battle. I am Lakota hence the linguistics there; and memphizzle, well, about a month ago, I think every one was in an -izzle mood, so I put the -izzle in my nizzle and now I use it when I'm feelin all funk-dafizzle.

Changed the format of the list from plain txt to html for easier reading (and updating!)

We would then need a link that would list everyone's name and alias... But I doubt z needs more work to do, huh?

True... I thought it might be, but this player isn't as dynamic as Gerbil. Very good, but not amazing like that furry bastard.

By the way, I used to play as the Hamster of Love, just to mess with Gerbil and actually beat him a few times.

Then I saw this hamster of fury and gave up that name.

Gerbil of death's been trying out a few new names. Last ones I knew of were surf gerbil & malibu gerbil. I seem to recall seeing another one a few days ago too, but he's not Hamster of Fury. In fact, I've played a few games with both of them in it. Their styles are very different.
