I only made it one night and had a leech stick to my hip. This guy calls me a bitch in a million varieties. He has access to Conneseuir, and follows me around using the full "Tankgirl (K8) name...... It only took one day to get a vile imposter.... That has to be a record of some sort. The funny thing is, he is pretty good, just demented and wears his issues with women on his forehead. I kind of feel sorry for this guy, he needs professional help.

Since you have been away technology has advanced in the TT world. There is a collective in TT known as "The Admin Cricle" which includes people like Rooster, Dash, Leopard, Reagent amongst others who try and filter out the filth.

Most of them run a little program that was created by Dahs with inputs of other people. There is a nice little thing which can log all of the conversations in TT (and you thought Big Brother wasn't watching). So if you know what time the games were placed, with some luck his ping can be tracked, and verify the conversation, and have him banned from these servers.

So my advice is to stay away from Shockwave servers, and the like, and use the more user friendly "Admin Circle" servers.

I was just playing scrum then in my heavy, and I saw serial killa. Since I began playing in a Heavy Bot exclusively I don't use that name. I saw your imposter too K8 amongst others.

Hell, I even had one here... He called himself gamingeek instead of gaminggeek. Kept yelling out stupid things like I do, but they normally were insults intead of random ccomments about the weather and such

Thanks for the support. I know I am not the only one who get this kinda stuff, it is just a bummer (as you all know). Plus I have the added sensitivity of feeling like I am being attacked because of my gender. Anyway... As you all said, everything is fine, too bad these losers exist in this community eh?

Good to hear that "AJ" (anti-jerk) technology is moving forward. HEY, maybe we can find a way to tag offenders... How about if their tank gets painted with a bare booty on it to indicate they were acting like an ass? (I'm probably the only one who thinks that is funny... But the idea of chasing a bad guy and shooting them in the "fleshy-beyond" makes me laugh out loud)...

When I saw the two "TG's" on the server list last night it appeared to be in a Shockwave server....approx 11pm-12am EDT....but then again, it could have been KC's.

Tankgirl, Hi I am Samantha and I had to even stop playing with my own name because of this problem. I do not understand wht TT can not come up with an identity program for the servers. I play on another brave tree game and no one can use your name in it...It's called Tanx. They are password protected. So I assume it can be done. This should be the main thing the scrpters should work on before any thing else. It does make a girl feel violated to have some jerk come in on your own name and pester you no matter where you go. I feel your pain from this and it gets old being told to just ignore it. As a girl maybe we feel differant then the guys do about this. The language we have to endure is beyound belief. Why does one of the big shots not do something,like revoke license keys from these people? Some are known by there IP'S and yet still allowed to enter the SW server's. Why are they only banned from the modded one's guys. We could use some help with this please guys. If the circle of admins ban them from there servers why not ban them from the others. I will never understand why this is allowed to happen. And guys don't tell me to stop playing in the SW servers to stop this. All of you know I can not play in yours yet untill DSL or CABLE are offered in my area. We have had girls, women and children cussed at and called all kind of things, doesn't this make you scripters want to try atleast to do something? Maybe it's just me but I'm ready to just stop playing this game all together. Wonder why I do not donate much, well here it is... Sorry for posting in your thread Tankgirl, forgive me.. Sam EDIT....Thanks Chief My ping in Dash's server is the lowest and it runs around 290 to 350 if I try trivs or CB's it can go as high as 400. In the SW servers it stay below 200 most times.

As far as what some of these trolls will do and say...it doesn't surprise me. 99% are pre-pubescent children who still giggle at the toilet paper commercials. The other 1% are teenagers who are just on TT while they're taking a break from abusing animals and swiping their dad's Playboys.

Lately I have seen lots of serial killas in SW servers. I just can't imagine why would anyone want to imposter me... I am more unstable than Windows, more confused about everything in life including my sexuality, too much of a loose cannon, my looks would kill armies ten times over, and my BO (body odour)... Well lets just say I haven't had a shower since I was born.

The essence of this game is the cool graphics, realistic movements and simplicity of play. The team servers, both scrum and BM, seem to succeed because those that have outgrown the simple essence desire the greater challenge of playing against others that have outgrown it as well. The indie servers, not so developed. If someone were to host a nice IS server, stock maps with one or two mods thrown in the rotation it would be nice. (Rooster)? An indie scrum server is lacking that can compete with the simplicity of the SW servers. Whoever hosts a successful indie server would likely have to leave it up a while until it caught on and not be too overzealous in administration, lots of newbies to be patient with. Worth it in the long haul though.
While I am on this topic, as for TBM servers, why is the Lair a ghost town? I stopped there over this past weekend and blasted nothing more than a few tumbleweeds. Went to the Bash after, where there were a few others playing, but one of the admins kept "freezing" me, what is up with that? They there to keep up a standard of play or just keep in game who they like? Not the type of thing I expected.
Sorry for getting off track, the point is the SW servers are not usually too bad at night, and a shame someone fired crap like that on you so quick TG, you were cool in the games we were in.

That was your net connection breaking up Banshee. That happens to me every so often. I've never heard of a freeze script either so if you saw the little connection box flashing it was your ISP. There are about 3 or more modded Indi Servers up but nobody uses them. Blind Cides hosts a couple of them and Nuts another.

Art's admin script has a freeze script. If it's used on you, you can't move or shoot and you have to exit the game because he didn't make away to undo it. We use it on trolls. XD

So very true. Highly unlikely that dash has added that to his admin scripts.

I didn't get the usual icon in the corner and some of my keys froze as well. I did somewhat "unfreeze" after a while, but did have to do a hard re-boot. It's also possible it was a machine error, I have one of the cursed P Macs that have the firmware problem with graphics, etc. Anyhow thanks for the replies, I shouldn't have even mentioned it. The last thing I want to do is stir anything up. Anyone know any "de-troll" exercises I could do before logging on to be safe?
