Last days more and more servers are getting like chatboxes... I folow yoga so ...Lessons in being silent...

Lesson 1 - Concentrate
1. Go sit as comfortable you can...
2. Start thinking... What can be better @ TT/in this world...
3. Start being silent... Hold it like for 10 minutes...
4. Still hold it silent... Concentrate... Feel the power of silence...
5. Power of silence...
6. After the 10 minutes silence... Be still quite quiet... But you can talk back...
7. Do this like each 3 hours... And... You'll feel reborn...

Well, she does put up a good arguement. I went into Lep's server andall the green were just talking. I was the only one playing and then one othr green decided to actually play. I sometimes rant on but it is to inform/ask/yell at someone because they dont know about someting. Most of the time it is army related. THis does not excuse me but I actually play while typing eery now and then, and yes it is possible. :P

How about the chatty people go use yahoo voice so they can play and talk at the same time. If the people are not there to play and are just taking up spaces, they should get the boot in the backside.

Cassie, Who does you lawn? Looks great! XD

I have that same outfit. I keep splitting the pants though..... 8o

@Jay - Inner peace and meditating ain't bad.

Did a quick search and found these.

Psalm 77:12
I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.

Psalm 119:15
I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.

Psalm 119:23
Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.

Psalm 119:27 (Show me Psalm 119)
Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works.

Psalm 119:48
I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.

Psalm 119:78
Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

Psalm 119:148
My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promise.

Psalm 143:5
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands.

Psalm 145:5
On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

So think on these things and you'll be fine. ;)

I'd do this Concentrate thing when I have time for me its busy work. Mostly I do nothing but stay on the computer but its still work.
Concentrate reminds me of a thing I would say but I guess I forget. Concentrate!

When life gives you lemons find a kid with a paper cut.
Ed appears: He combo attacks with paper cut you suffer 5 HP with added attack lemons on wound you suffer 50 HP you die......

Jay

^^ Thanks for that I see what you mean now.

Just in the picture the meditating position is the traditional "Buddism" way....Is that right? Or does it originate from another source and can be used through any kind of meditation....?

I know its just a position but still...Dont want to get my religions mixed up. I think my dad would have a good long talk with me if he found me in that postion meditating :P lol

@ Jay - I'd sit in a fashion that made you comfortable. If you don't want to sit in the Lotus position, then don't. I'm sure the Lotus means something to those who developed it. Besides, yYou'd probably end up thinking more about how your sitting than what you're there to meditate about. Just get somewhere quiet where you won't be interupted and go for it!

If I sat in that position, they'd be picking me and my legs up in seperate pieces. DOH!

@ Rabban and Jay - I think there is a subtle difference between the meditating described above:

1. Go sit as comfortable you can...
2. Start thinking... What can be better @ TT/in this world...
3. Start being silent... Hold it like for 10 minutes...
4. Still hold it silent... Concentrate... Feel the power of silence...
5. Power of silence...
6. After the 10 minutes silence... Be still quite quiet... But you can talk back...
7. Do this like each 3 hours... And... You'll feel reborn...

And the meditating described in scripture:

The meditating prescribed in the Bible is about eliminating distractions to focus on God and His glory. Notice the difference between "Still hold it silent... Concentrate... Feel the power of silence..." and "I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways." I won't argue that we were created with a need for rest (eg. - the command to observe the Sabbath), but I think we miss the mark if we meditate for the sake of emptiness alone. We should clear our minds for the sake of freeing more of our attention for God.

Regardless, taking time for rest is clearly important. My $0.02. ;)
