Without making them myself?

I think some bumper stickers would be cool too.

The usual TT graphics would be great, but a line for players with insider references would be nice too.

Sticker Guy makes cheap stickers.

This could add some revenue.

Nathan has a store with coffee mugs and other stuff. Maybe he'll update it soon. Check it out.

Thanks for the link Pokemalo. The Tee is cool, but this description from the site seems a bit out of place:

Our printing is better than ever full of detail and color

Uhmm, don't look now, but there is no detail or color on those tees. Just a black silhouette of the TT logo and a light tank. What are they talking about?

Friday, April 09, 2004 at 5:26:00 PM

@Pokemalo Hey Joe, could you get some diferent ones, those are ok and all, but some color, or some lush backrounds would be cool. XD

Friday, April 09, 2004 at 7:10:47 PM

I forgot I had that store.

Since I'm out of the fansite business, any money I make on it, I will donate to somewhere, I don't know where ;)

Maybe we should submit T-shirt designs.

You couldn't pay me to wear a light. HEAVIES RULE! XD

Friday, April 09, 2004 at 7:52:23 PM

Yes Rabban, the fact that the TT t-shirts have Light tanks depicted really says something about the tank preferences of the Bravetree guys. They like the light tank. Explains why they refuse to give the heavy tank just one more shot in its clip, or maybe even make the medium tank a little more interesting. They are partisan Light-tank Supporters, bent on a homogenous universe of 100% pureblood light tanks drivers. In short, they are "tankist". It's a conspiracy I tell you, The Man is keeping us down.

We Heavy Enthusiasts are in the minority. We must Fight the Power! KILL LIGHTY! KILL LIGHTY!

BTW, this was a joke. Bravetree did well in balancing the tanks, with the possible exception of accidentally using styrofoam instead of iron when they built the heavy tank. If Tankgirl opens the affirmative action can of worms, don't go blaming me.

ROFL!! I notice that you have the Light tank under your name LC50. Are you an agitator trying to pit both sides against each other? All out war will only leave the medium tank left to rule the TT world. (much like cockroaches after a nuclear holocaust)

Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 6:38:04 PM

No, I have a light tank next to my name because of a sorted history involving CTF and PTT.com. Let's just say I was young and needed the money. Since then, I've been donating money to -z- so that he would change my icon to a heavy tank. I get nada.

I've always been a heavy tank enthusiast.... http://www.geocities.com/lc50tank/

More accurately, I'm here to promote equity and diversity in our tankspace. Wouldn't it be boring if everyone drove light tanks (in team battlemode)?

Your diversity comment has merit, LC50 . But it seems that in scrum the mediums and heavies tend to be used for camping (blech). Perhaps there could be some other way to work some defensive tank diversity into scrum. I, for one, would be happy to occasionally trade the turret on my standard light tank for a giant fist and a turbo boost...

WHAMMO! The Jet Li Tank!

Monday, April 12, 2004 at 12:07:42 PM

I'd pay to get my blue light tank on a mug or T-shirt.

Monday, April 12, 2004 at 12:39:02 PM

KILL LIGHTY!!!

Love it.

I don't camp in scrum and as a result I've found that the booster pads could use a little tweaking in their map placement. ;) I really enjoy grabbing the scrum and advancing it 10 inches or so in my lumbering heavy before the lights swarm in. I usually roll around and soften up the opposing team members and shell the opposing CTF goal. Heck, I even block shots by getting behind a teammate who's heading for the goal and I've absorbed mines dropped near my CTF goal. Whatever it takes for the team!

So, I don't camp. And Lighty hates me. He hates me when I score. He blocks me. He pushes me. He shoots me down. He begs me to "cross over", to change. Freakin' Heav-I-phobe.

I fight the power. I am the resistance.

On a side note, I just updated the site (Heavy Duty ). Added Rabban to the Hall and added this awesome FAQ, reproduced below for the lazy people:

Heavy Tank FAQ

Q: I've tried to master the Heavy tank, I'm not sure if I'm up to it.

A: Try not. Do or do not. There is no try!

---

Q: I like to get all hopped up on espresso and like the fast-paced action, blah, blah, blah. When I play in the Heavy tank, I don't know when to snipe, enter the fray, or hide out and wait.

A: You will know when you are at peacecalm, passive. A good Heavy tank player must have a cool hand and steady resolve.

---

Q: Aren't Light tanks better? Almost EVERYONE plays them, and I know it's true that the majority is ALWAYS right!

A: You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our point of view.

---

Q: Is the Light tank easier to learn?

A: The Light side is quicker, easier, more seductive.

---

Q: I've played Light tanks for a long time. When I switch to heavy, I always get blasted when I try to chase down a smoking tank out in the middle of the fray. You only get 3 friggin' shots with the Heavy, c'mon! What am I doing wrong?

A: You must unlearn what you have learned. In the Heavy, play the sides of the map. Don't wander into the fray unless you can make a retreat to cover. Pick off the outliers. Snipe. If charged, stand your ground. Hurt your enemy as much as possible until you die a glorious death.

---

Q: Seriously, the Light tank is easier to play--- you can just go blasting out into the field, ignore the map and just fight, fight, fight woo hoo! I don't have the patience to learn the Heavy tank, it's so slow and boring. I don't want to worry about cover and sniping, I just want to go ram someone.

A: A Heavy tank player must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind.

---

Q: But the Light tanks are so cute and small! Smaller is always better, isn't it?

A: Size matters not. Judge tanks by their size, do you? And well you should not. The Heavy tank's ally is the Force. And a powerful ally it is. It's armor surrounds us and binds us. Its 3 powerful shells destroy our enemies. Great tanks are we, not these crude little baby tanks! You must feel the Force around you!

---

Q: I'm afraid that if I get in a Heavy, I'll hurt my reputation as a great player.

A: Fear is the path to the Light side. Fear leads to anger, anger to leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. Suffering eventually leads to Scrum.

---

Q: I've tried the Heavy, I've always thought it was a useless tank and that Bravetree are out of their minds when they say that the Light and Heavy tanks are evenly matched.

A: That is why you fail.

---

Q: I love playing the Heavy tank, but lately I've thought about trying battlemode in the Light tank. Any pointers?

A: Beware of the Light side. Anger...fear...aggression. The Light side of the Force are they. Once you start down the Light path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did Quitter's apprentice (Shrike)!

---

Q: I've just started playing in the Heavy tank, and I can't seem to beat the good Light tank players.

A: Only a fully trained Heavy tank player with the Force as his ally will conquer them. If you end your training too soon, if you choose the quick and easy path, as Shrike did, you will become an agent of evil.

---

Q: I'm a good Heavy tank player, but I always wonder why I hardly see anyone else out there giving it a try.

A: The Force runs strong in your tank. Pass on what you have learned.

---

Q: Aren't you kind of old to be playing video games with us kids? LC50, you look like you need a vacation.

A: When twenty-nine years old you reach, look as good you will not!

---

Q: Any last thoughts?

A: Mind what you have learned, save you it can.

Ben

(contribution to tank topic)

Last night, faced with the undescribably boring prospect of a light tank only scrum game, I logged on in a medium, and started to infest the scrum fields. Daaaaammmm that was fun! Pretty soon almost everybody had given up the light for either a medium or a heavy, and there were some awesome goal battles without a light hovering nearby. Then I went into a battlemode with my medium, and spread a fair amount of terror among decent, light-loving tankers everywhere.

BOYCOTT LIGHTS! (for at least a week) BOYCOTT LIGHTS! (for at least a week) BOYCOTT LIGHTS! (for at least a week)...

P.S. You alllmoosst convinced me, LC. I'd need proof that I can play better in a heavy, though. Now if only I could hear that post in your Yoda imitation voice.

Friday, April 16, 2004 at 11:28:34 AM

Maybe it's a midlife crisis thing, but I'm still a fan of those chic magnet, sporty little lights. Just open up the convertible brainjar & head out on the lush maps with the sun shining and the wind flowing through your brain!

Bertha Chubba & Titanic are the only two regular scrummers I've seen in heavies. Probably alaises, but they are fun. Add Greg & Carlos bots to the mix and all that weight really makes it interesting. Just for laughs, I'll give it a shot next time I see you all.

Hmmm, I somehow can't see scrumming in a Heavy. Battlemode I can see for sure, but scrum? I'm not so convinced. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime, but I have a feeling I'm going to bust my "W' key trying to make that lumbering fatty go faster.

I do agree that there is a bias in TT towards the Light in general though.

Friday, April 16, 2004 at 12:24:18 PM

Ok guys, this is him...this is the guy that's behind the whole light tank conspiracy at Bravetree:

This is was I know: He had some dirt on Joe and Clark... The shady blackmail deal went down in January of 2003 on the Grassy Knoll. Soon afterwards, the Light tank was given the upper hand. How convinient.

Hehehe, is Oliver Stone making a movie about this?

Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 4:04:54 PM

KBC, give the John Grisham novel a few more weeks to make it to #1 on the NY Times Best Seller list... We have to to take these things slowly. Although news on the street is that Billy Bob Thornton is vying for this one.

And another Yoda quote for Lighty. "Unlearn! Unlearn!"

Back to the tank subject.

Y'know, every once in a while, I get in my heavy, mainly when I do Survivor. (Hey -z-, I found a glitch in Survivor! :P )

But on some servers, its quite common to see a lot of heavys, mainly in demo battles.

Monday, April 19, 2004 at 11:26:26 AM

LC shouldnt u have a heavy tank icon next to your name?? Hmmmmm....i think u like the light more...lol
