I am going to experiment by hosting 4 new TS maps at a time in my server rotation. Like tasting and analyzing a fine glass of Zinfandel, we can swirl these mods around in our glass and behold the moment. By not chewing off too many new maps we can get the hang of them in small tastings.

You will need the absolute latest update to the TT_Mod_Pack® as well as have the expansion pack installed.

NOW PLAYING:
MonkeeMan's: Lord Symmetrie's Temple, Stoned Immaculate & Purple Haze
WizTriv's: Afroverse

Update and jump in! Wooot!

All of them were interesting maps. Specially that symmetric map was funny.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Purple haze is cool.

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 3:01:12 PM

Symmetric gets an invalid art error.

Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 4:15:59 PM

^ Must be the sky that MM used. Several folks were able to get in just fine. I think I will change the sky.

Nice. Grape Ape is modding again.

I was wondering where the hell he's been. Now I know he's been in his basement conjuring up some new digs. Glad to see you're still around MM.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Racer can you try it again? I think I fixed it...

Triv: can you check your e-mail? I have a question for you about your map.

I will try it again later.

I will start making maps again, so if you like any of them (I doubt it) feel free to add them.

Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 7:24:23 PM

Ah Racer
Its not like that I'm sure.
Geez they havent used any of mine hardly neither
Most of mine were too big !
doh! Noob mistake!
And some had/have hidden pads so see what I mean is hang in there
and keep trying. There a definate learning curve.
Hey! I posted what I learned in your other thread.
Maybe it will shine some light.

Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 11:36:12 AM

I changed the sky file from sky_storm to morning and now people can get in. The offending line was: materialList = "game/data/skies/morning.dml";

Roo, Racer and all: I will be changing these maps regularly and I plan to include more people's maps. I just got motivated to put together a small rotation.

I checked them out last night in hopes of getting my mind off of a personal matter that is taking a heavy toll on me !

@ RX
Thanks for just hanging out and talking with me last night ! I was able to enjoy the game for a little bit before my personal matter returned to my mind & no it didn't bother me to talk about it. Thanks for putting a smile on this sad wolf's face ! I owe you one Reagent X

I'd enjoy seeing Dash's Bologna Pony map in the rotation. It's still the fastest map out there. Possibly Rotation Three?

Forget what I just wrote. The Pony is DB10.

Yeah Rogue, I should throw the Pony back in. DB10 is the Hillbilly Home.

Actually I need to replace wiztriv03 because it seems to be a bit jittery. I think I'll swap those 2 tomorrow.

@ Rx....and all the modders for that matter

Gentlemen, put simply....you guys freakin' rock. Played my first TS games in a couple of months last night and I was simply amazed of all facets of the maps.

Also - very much enjoyed the games last night with everyone. Will make a point to be on more regularly.

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 6:42:24 AM

Sure you will XD

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 7:00:54 AM

I agree with Chief, minor caveat being that the skin files on some of them are pretty brutal. The terrains rock for the most part, so I say why detract from them with skins that make it difficult to see.

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 2:11:44 PM

Yo all! Great fun. Sometimes one has to download the map and wait a bit, but once it's done the map is in for good! :)

Just one feedback to Modders, the same ole' feedback from Braino: big maps aren't necessarily better - we just run around longer and score more FBs. Good size maps are the Lush.

But like I was saying: WHAT A BLAST! THANKS FOR ALL THE NEW MAPS! %)

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 5:20:36 PM

OK - Time for a new rotation! :P

Now Proudly Featuring: Classic MonkeeMod Scrum maps!

I have a rotation of 12 of these maps (many from PSL 8). However, as you may recall, MM revised 3 of the PSL 8 maps. We didn't roll these out until after the PSL season was over, so these revisions have not had much play. MM revised them subtly to improve game play. The following 3 maps are modified (and have been in the Mod_pack for ages):

Corpus Callosum Cove: made a remote rear area a bit bigger and more part of the action
Histamine Highlands: smoothed out a corner area and removed a tree or two.
Fornix Field: made a remote rear area a bit bigger and more part of the action

ENJOY!

I Love that map collection!

Shame everyone knows the tricks to the maps, but hey you cant pass em off like me XD

Monday, November 07, 2005 at 11:14:06 PM

By popular demand, I have added:

wiztriv07 (Histidine Hills) and wiztriv09 (Path Patrol) to the rotation to bring the total to 14 maps. These look quite scrummable!

These will require you to have a recent mod_pack update (the newest map in there iz wiztriv09 which has only been out since 11/5/05). None of these maps require expansion_pack.

EDIT: I have also added the Baloney Pony (dash) and Afroverse (wiztriv) to bring the total to 16 maps.

@Triv: wiztriv07 appears to have that minor repeated spawn into fog bug. Can you please check if the mis file can be tweaked a tad? I want to avoid having to release another ter file.

Let them load.

Tuesday, November 08, 2005 at 11:44:21 PM

^^ It's in the mod_pack. All these maps are standard lush (except for 2 frantics) and they don't use any wierd sky's or anything.

@Rx, look at your email. I'm going to sent there a screenie of the map and you draw me what was buggy goal/area.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Wednesday, November 09, 2005 at 6:47:38 AM

^^ I dont want to download the 60Mb file again and when I looked for wiztriv's MODs on the thread there wasnt one. Can you make one with all the wiztriv maps?

Wednesday, November 09, 2005 at 9:22:59 AM

In the time it took you to write that, you could have started the download, skipper.

Wednesday, November 09, 2005 at 12:33:42 PM

I have good news for you - it is only 25 MB!

Reagent, I was in the server the other night, I just added the latest release download and the game screeched to a halt because nobody had the maps. Again, I just downloaded the latest release, and I didn't have the map either. I believe it was one of the wiz/triv maps. Only makes sense as I have had the others forever.
I beleive it was somtime Tuesday night.

Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 6:39:35 AM

^Most likely as the maps are very new and non-hosted before.

As someone asked for a singular predownload for wiztriv maps. I redirect him and anyone else who wants predownload specially only some of the maps to my TT related website . Where you can download them...

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Thanks triv!

Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 10:03:21 AM

Yes, I don't understand why the wiztriv maps would cause you to get stuck out. I hate that! They are definitely in the mod_pack.

-Rx

Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 11:49:29 AM

Maybe I found the problem! I noticed that in MM's mods, the line that calls up the terrain file is:

terrainFile = "game/data/missions/wiztriv06.ter";

and in wiztriv's it looks like:

terrainFile = "./wiztriv06.ter";

so I changed that line in wiztriv's mission files on my server. I hope that fixes it. Has to be something like that because his maps use only the stock textures and skies, etc.

Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 5:19:04 PM

Aw crap. ^ That wasn't the problem. Just dumped a full server of players into the ozone. Yet a minority of players loaded with no problem. How could this be? :S

-Rx

Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 8:00:52 PM

@ RX I always add game/data/missions to that line other wise I get error, or screen that won't load.
Was there an original.ter file that some players may have loaded? If so, and wiz or triv tweeked it and released another.ter that will happen. Try sending a copy of your wiztriv06.ter to someone who's having trouble getting in and let them replace the one they have.

I can take a look and see if I can find out anything. Their good maps for play.

Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 4:31:03 PM

That would be great Napalm. It seems to be a particular problem for wiztriv07 (and probably 09 too). Triv posted a link to his mission and terrain files on the previous page. I'd like to solve this too as they are good scrummin' maps.
