Forums Index >> General >> Getting horrible Upload times...is this normal?

Page : <1> :

Okay, so here's what happening. My computer has an excellent connection for downloading, but uploading is kind of wonkey. When I try to upload something to my.mac account, it uploads in a snap, then freezes on the Closing file part for about five minutes. Eventually it realizes that it should upload soon and it closes the file.

Is this normal for something like this to happen? Should I call my ISP?

You know what? The same thing happens to me (only sometimes, and only for 2 mins. Though)! I think it is just a bug in Apple's.mac servers.

Enigma does not know what he is talking about. Hey enigma,send one of those my way. Or is it your bedtime?

Spunky,possibly your computer (Maybe virus protector) was trying to intervene with the loading.

Actually,I reply to all topics,if I know what to say. Concerning you,I always know what to say.

Now,hand me that package,or were you out of town?

Don't try to change the subject,You have lured yourself in a corner,now send me that glitch downloading thingy or admit that you are an example that talking trash takes little effort.

I win against you once again. Now go crawl back into your little hole.

Enigma, for your information, you can check the entire thread which you made, and I have not posted on it once. I want to keep out of matters like that because of past experiences that I've had regarding them. Another thing. I have a Mac, so you can't send my a virus, you lier.

But please, back on topic.

@Nick

Thanks, I hope that's the case.

@^, having a Mac does make you a lot more secure than a PC owner, XD but there still are a few known viruses (O_o) for Mac only. As well as a few cross-platform ones. But I bet Enigma has a PC, and cross-platform viruses are hard to write if you're 10.

@Sasuke

Yeah, I know of one called the "Simpsons" virus...I think it re-arranged your iTunes library or something. Not very harmful, in my opinion. :)

It sent emails promising free Simpsons episodes to anyone on a mailing list, it was an AppleScript virus called MacSimpsons, but it's history now, and it's been so for 3+ years.

Interesting statistics.....

Known PC viruses : Over 70,000
Known Mac viruses : Less than 50

New reason to get a mac, eh? XD

Indeed, I've heard Windoze users complaining about how many viruses that they're getting these days and that they have to install Spyware protection, Adware protection, and an anti-virus scanner. My response is, and always will be, "Get a Mac." :)
