Bloop - Mate!! - she needs a bit of work bro ! I have interviewed heaps of people and it is first impressions from the CV that make half of the stack go in the bin when you are doing selections for interviews.
Drop us an email so I can blab more without boring the crap out of everyone here.

Your first paragraph may be the only thing that gets read. Don't make it an introspective voyage into your personal life. Say what you want to achieve professionally and why you are a great candidate for this kind of job. Also you should list your previous jobs and a one or two line description of each one.

Well, since your only going for somewhere small
Coffee shop; art shop; or somewhere like that
Then your CV will be more than enough, but maybe you need to put something that your good with people, done something with customer servie etc..........If you havnt then you can say something like "Since I have travelled to many foreign countries, I have learned how to deal with all types of people with many different customs.." Or something lol
After having endless meddling family members hacking what I'm saying to pieces this is what I have
Since leaving school in summer 2005. I have worked as a cycle courier for much of the year. I enjoyed the challenge of taking responsibility and proved myself to be hardworking, reliable and trustworthy. I have spent 3 months travelling in asia and now feel the need for a permanent job. As well as being a keen cyclist, I am also interested in art and music.
Job History
TK Maxx - During my time at school I worked part time as a tk-maxx associate where I had to deal with customers queries and keep my department clean and tidy.
PDQ couriers -I have also worked as a self-employed cycle courier where I picked up and delivered packages between businesses in the city centre.
Please convince me it's good, because I reckon it's a lying sack of !@$££$%@£$!@£
Bloop - I didnt have time to get back to you today.
Friday is a slack day for me normally so I will chat to you tomorra.
But from what you just posted it is a huge improvement mate.

Cheers for all your help, but I gots me old courier job back. I'll be riding v THIS 50 hours a week! Wooo!
^ one of me bikes (stripped all the gears off and built it into a fixed-wheel now)... But y'all didn't want to know that

Bloop
That looks like one of my bikes that got ripped off while I was in Manchester. Just where did you get that one mate :[
Ya stripped off the derailer and fixed it to one gear. Must not be many steep hills where your riding or you like walking.
Well cant say nothing about you unlike most people you do have a GOB or as you probably say it the WRONG WAY JOB (Gayyb)
You had a viking? It's a rare old 60s reynolds 531 frame, the viking team won 1st 2nd and 3rd in the first ever 'tour of britain'. If you DID have one, I feel so sorry for your loss, they are collectors items which can be sold for up to £500 each.
It's set up as a fixed wheel to train me for the velodrome. (fixed wheel = you slow down by slowing pedalling) means your overgeared going up hills, and you have to get your cadence right up on the downhills (cadence = how fast you pedal).
EDIT: why am I telling you this? This was supposed to be about cv's

Yep I had an old Viking I'm not sure when it was made though, I got it off some poor sap for 40 quid. I also had a decent Puegot that I put a lot of miles onto before a guy I was living with took it out and got it ripped off. Lot of thieves in Manchester.
And you got distracted by my comment because your a biking freak and you couldn't resist. XD
Strange now that I think of it. I lived for 6 years with only a bike for transportation and now I haven't been on my bike for over a year now. There was some time when I averaged 40-60 miles a day on it. Now if I hopped on it I would probably be panting after two blocks. :S

Anyone know anything about writing cv's? What else should I be putting in? (p.s I've censored me email and address and phone number and all)... If you can give me any pointers it would be appreciated, looking for a job in somewhere not mindnumbing (coffee shop; art shop; or somewhere like that) (that is of course unless my courier job comes back through - im off to beg for it back now, don't think they need anyone at the minute though... Sigh)

I am an obsessive cyclist who has spent the past year working and travelling; I was working as a cycle courier for much of the year and spent some time backpacking through asia - Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and China. I am now looking for a permanent job so I can focus on my portfolio for my application to art-college next year, whilst earning a bit of money so as to not be a skint student.
