Hi all
A couple of times recently at the beginning of a new game I have asked for balance
and recieved negative responses
Ex: Midway thru the last game a blue guy joins making the teams 6 blue to 4 green
Blue comes storming back from a 10 pt deficit to win by 8
Is it so unreasonable to ask that someone switch colors?
Isn't it more fun to have close games with balanced teams?
Don't you get more out of battling instead of a beatdown?
Mind you this aint about losing. Thats not the point!
My point is that if the scores are close and both teams jockeying to get the advantage
then the action is more exciting
Also I am going on record that if I was on the annihilation team I would switch or leave w/o being asked

I agree all the way with you Rooster ! It is happening more and more in dash's server. I think way to many people have that pass word to his server for one but thats just my 2 cents ! B)

Well I agree with you. Fair teams are a lot more fun even if you get beat. I can live with unfair teams but it would be nice to always have fair. Becasue then it shows who is good.

That's my 2 cents.

That's why I have been asking for some kind of schuffle scrift for a year now. Schuffling the teams for each map would randomize the chance of keeping teams stacked. It may also minimize being stuck on a team in which a specific person NEVER passes the scrum.

Yes, but...

I often just join games and let the 'puter chose which team I join. So in that sense, the teams are balanced. However, once I get in there, I sometimes end up being asked to switch since the score is slanted in favor of the team I just happened to join. There's really no way to foresee this before joining a game, especially if 3 tanks and beating 5. So I end up being asked to switch (usually in a pouting/demanding sort of way) and I tend to ignore the request. Sure, I enjoy winning, but I'm just there to play and its not important enough to me to leave the game and come back. If I could switch teams in-game, it would be different, but as it is its too much hassle.

I've been playing the Halo demo on the computer the last couple days, and I've noticed the teams are always even anytime I join (unless there's an odd number of people). After every game the computer switches people on and off teams to make it even. I think this is what Napalm has been trying to get at.

I totally agree. I also hate the players that dont Pass or that dont play as a team. I vote for the script.

@ rabban, when I ask I try to put plz, but sometimes I'm so pissed at my supposedly teammates that It doesn't come out :)

I'm not sure but many times I don't see the emoticons just the text that represents them. :S

I stopped playing for a while because of teamates stealing the flag so they can score.i just started playing scrum again and
its still the same crap.i like to pass it to teammates too if you see me coming at you and smoking don't kill me cause as soon as I pass it to you I can protect you and get killed by the opposing team.cause sure enough when I pass it to you I can block the opposing team.

I always end up sitting during games of TS because some numbnuts joins with no regard in making the teams even. It can sometimes be tough to have a fair game even when the number of tanks are equal. By asking people to mix things up I've found you run the risk of insulting the other players or they simply want revenge. The randomizer script IMO would be the ultimate.

I do in fact disagree with somewhat with bad sportsmanship in TS. I've found that passing has increased as of late. I try and make it a point to tell people that haven't played with me before that I don't care if I score and that I pass often. All that said, I think there is roughly three dozen people out there who are regulars in TS that play the total team game. When we have 10 of these guys together the best games are played, or at least that's when I enjoy playing the most. It's easy to figure out who they are. They're usually the ones not playing under alias.

Also, if you don't already know dash put the team changing codes back in his servers. If you need to change your team just type /blue or /green.

While we're at it I'd love to see a server that rotated from TS to TBM. For instance, after every third game of TS there is a TBM game that lasts about 5 minutes. Just something simple to mix things up.

I've played with rogue and he is a good team player and doesn't care if he gets the highest score,I played as berserk*fury and my teammates were stealing the flag from me so they could score.again if I'm smoking and coming towards you I'm gonna pass it to you don't shoot me let me pass to you and do some blocking for you.let the opposing team kill me.so many times I'm killed by teammates and spawn long distances from the goal.if I block just 1 bullet from hitting you it makes the difference from getting the goal by that much.if you steal it from me when I clearly could make it to the goal expect the same from me.i give one chance per person/tank.and also don't tell me to pass cause 90% of the time I'm looking to pass it to you so I can block and shoot the other team

I join on the team with the least amount of players but that doesnt mean there losing maybe 75% of the time they are. Then Ill just /blue or /green to the losing team.
