NAME/HISTORY/MISSION STATEMENT
AU stands for Animals United, the reason for that being that the first members all had animal names, and we used to join games with these names and trounce the competition. Over the years the name thing disappeared, but we're still an elite group of scrummers and BMers that rely on their instincts and our team mates to win the game.
If you wish to still have an animal name for either nostalgic or fun purposes, the rules for it are AdjectiveAnimal, like FunnyMonkey or FastWolf.
As a clan, we strive to be the best we can while also learning new things and making new friends. We will accept only those we find with good playing skills and better character. In a way, this is the sniper training school of ThinkTanks - many will play, fewer will apply, and even less will make it in. Those that do can rest assured that they are in the top players of ThinkTanks.
We are also the parent organization of the TWC (Turret Waver's Club), and all members are invited to participate in customary TWC rituals, such as turret waving before, during, and after a match; after a goal or a particularly edgy battlemode brain pop... Or just for fun!

The people who are premium members are those who either were in AU when it first started or they became members in Filbert's thread. Also, members who have either exceeded expectations or have done AU a great service will be awarded premium member status.
The Captains have supreme priviliges over all the other members. If a captain gives an order, it will be listened to and done exactly as said. Those who are a great asset to AU or who have gone beyond the ordinary expectations of a member will be awarded Captain status.

TESTING
If you've applied and you're not on the list, we have to test you before you can become an official member.
To apply for testing, please post your in-game name and either your email, MSN screen name, or AIM screen name so we can set up a date and time.

Once you've applied and set a date and time, you'll get a password and a server name... Meet us in the server at the time designated for your official testing. You will be the only person who knows the password and it will change for each application, so giving it out would be pointless.

AU CLAN'S RULES

1) HAVE FUN! It is essential for anyone and everyone in an army to enjoy the game and take pride in their wins, as well as learn from their losses.

2) TRUST IN YOUR TEAM! Trust is required for any team to co-operate flawlessly. Always believe that your team will be there when you need them most.

3) GIVE 110%! Play your hardest, play your best, play like an animal. Remember that because you are an AU, you are fast, strong, and undefeatable.

4) MAKE FRIENDS, NOT ENEMIES! Being a jerk tarnishes AU's image. Don't be the one that gets kicked off the team because your ego was hurt by an idiot from another team and you started a flamewar.

5) COMMIT TO AU! AU is your clan, so show commitment to it! If you apply for a battle, SHOW UP ON TIME AND WITH THE PROPER MOD PACKS, IF IT IS REQUIRED! AU will not tolerate those who can't play because they forgot that one thing that is essential to the battle!

6) THERE IS NO RULE 6. Haha, Monty Python joke!

7) PLAY FAIR! Camping, BMing, and Cliff Diving may all be legitimate strategies, but they're for degenerates who can't play the game right. Play like an animal, without being a butthead!

8) WEAR YOUR TAG WITH PRIDE! If ANYONE insults AU, you have the right to defend AU, BUT don't go overboard with it. Remember AU members pride themselves on being elite members of an extraordinary group. Being an idiot not only lessens your image, it lessens AU's as well.

RULE-BREAKING:
If any of these rules are broken and reported to any AU leader, captain, or premium member by a member or non-member, they will quickly and diligently look into it. The offending member will have the right to plead their case innocent or guilty. If you plead innocent and we deem you guilty, however, you will be ejected from AU and disallowed to use the AU tag at the end of your name. If you don't, you will be banned from the AU official server until the AU is removed.

However, if you plead guilty and we find you guilty, you have the chance of recieving a suspension from AU for how long we deem appropriate instead of being banned. During this time, we ask that you remove the AU tag from your name, but once your suspension is served and you are welcomed back into the clan, you may insert it again.

If the accusor is found to be lying then they will be banned from the AU server until we decide to un-ban them.
If the offense is too minor to be of any significance, there will be no inspection into the case and no charges will be pressed.

ABOVE ALL: AU is an army of honor, pride, and personal courage. Maintain these, and you will maintain your status. Go beyond the required rules and you will be awarded accordingly.

CURRENT AU ISSUES
If anyone has a computer or laptop they'd like to sacrifice for use for an official 24/7 AU server, they will recieve captain status for 3 months, premium membership from then on, all admin rights on the server, and of course the gratitude of everyone on the AU team. :)
If no one volunteers, I'll just use my spare laptop and a great opportunity will be wasted.
Server requirements:
- good ping (can hold 8-10 players without lagging)
- good computer specifications (see above)
- admin script and all MODs (DemoBGone, wordfilter etc) installed and updated frequently
- rotating MODs script installed

If you think you have what it takes to be one of these things, apply today and make sure you indicate that you are able to help us in one of these areas. If you do, include an example of your mod, skin, script, or website when you email us.

Postscript
Captains and premium members, post your email addresses so I can email you guys the AU email's password and possibly the future password of the future AU server.

Also, when we get enough members, we will begin our team and 1v1 training. I've yet to plan this out and cooperate with the captains to hear their ideas, but I promise it will be comprehensive and well-thought through.

Sky, demo's are allowed if they're good enough, but they're going to have to buy the game eventually in order to participate in team scrum and team battlemode, and not drop out halfway through a scrum or battlemode game.

Yes we are, last time I got sidetracked and didn't really have a feeling for the goal of the army. This time I promise I'll be on top of it! :)
