..... And you need to have the intellegence of at least a 13 year old to make a truly great mod...
Sorry if I offend anyone, but take it this way
if you have a great mod and are under the age of 13, consider yourself smart :P

What NEVA & Warfare are trying to say is, modding well is something you have to adapt. Much like learning, you mainly have to mkae mistakes to improve. Try modding on your own, and ask for opinions. And also, Warfare & NEVA's points make sense. If you haven't noticed, the best modders are 13 & up. And NEVA is SOOOOOOOOOOOO true. If it has mistakes, works and fix till your mods have none. This is advice, so none of use are telling you how to mod. That, again, is a naturaly given gift.
~CS~
P.S. Never, EVER, give in to people's negative opinions. Keep working and you be a great modder! ;)
It's the little things that make a good mod. Placement of trees, rocks, goals, etc....Also, blending of textures is important. I don't use weird looking textures. I go for the natural looking ones that you may actually find in nature. With some practice and patience I have made some good maps:
BTW: I am 13, and if you can make mods like this at an age younger then that, then I applaud you and you will become the best modder in TT.
Ok... I am... Going to... Help... Him! GAAAA! ::pain:: Ok. Neva is completely right. Also, one would want to incoperate a theme, or style. I can tell right now that you like city mods. Start there. Now, what is you fav kinda game. Lets say scrum (most popular). Now, Make the building of a city mod so that you have some sort of street down the middle that is noticabley special. Next, make a kinda circle in there. Not just any circle. Kinda like a park. It need to be big. This is where you want to have the scrum goal. Then, after this is done, make the buidlings and such. Also, make some elevation. Add roads too. The point will be to go out into the city, find the scrum, and bring it back to the park. That would be a very fun mod... ::GAGS:: *dies*
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Errrrr... NEVA, I had like 4 months and 12 years when I started scripting for TT (even if at that time we couldnt mod terrains etc), started making my admin script (text based) and finished it on christmas.... Then started making the GUI version, had almost all of it finished by my birthday, since then I've been BETA-Testing with Repent and have found many bugs, added many features etc...
So as you say, you better applaud me :P
PS: How do you like my new, simple, small, etc sig? Much better than those that are bigger than the whole post :P

@ art
I thought it was common knowledge you were already smart for your own good...
but the purpose of being great is not for self glory I always thought...
I could be as good as art too if I didnt have a job, college stuff to think about... Etc
it is also all about how much time you can dedicate to modding...
