Okay.

1. Shockwave stopped supporting it.
2. There is ONE scrum server because someone just HAD to put up a frantic nobody uses.
3. That ONE server has more BMers that scrummers
4. That ONE server only has TWO admins.
5. That ONE server takes 2 days to get into.

1. So people have to stop acting like trolls.. I see no problem there... And if the SW servers are the only non-laggy servers for some people, well cant someone host a server in their area so its not laggy for them.
2. I use it.... Its a nice break from your everyday Lush
3. Theres always been more Bmers in a server than Scrummers
4. Theres 3 admins, and thats enough.... Were in it like 24/7 anyway.... As long as the server is free of trolls, who cares how many admins there are...
5. Rollerball? Well duh.... It's been stressed enough that you need to predownload...

Actually, I've been really enjoying that frantic server, just a slow-starter as noone is used to playing the maps.

Friday, November 24, 2006 at 10:25:50 AM

Yeah I really never played on frantic so its like a whole new map...i like it

Friday, November 24, 2006 at 11:03:45 AM

(Goodbye and good riddance, SW servers)

Oh and frantic and spooky maps own, better than the plain lush maps that everyones seen.

No one from Bravetree said that Shockwave is not supporting TT
Last I heard they wre having technical difficulties

The master server IP was changed and the Shockwave servers must be manually updated

Uh correct me f I missed something

Not counting mine, right?

^^^ Roo I think that was the time before this. They certainly had enough time to get them back up if they wanted. See here.

Yea, I thought having no shock wave servers was gonna be a real bummer, but no! Much to my surprise it's gotten rid of tons of scumbags, trash talkers, and impostors!

I have no stalkers, and I'm impostor free for once.... In almost 4 years.....

Humm woot gess TT going to the dogs is a good thing

Friday, November 24, 2006 at 4:38:05 PM

-No SW servers = good thing, more trolls there on average than vets.
-Two good TBM and two good TS servers up (DB and Lep's for TBM (although only DB is moderated) and Roo and Scrumbag for TS).
-Conclusion: Less trolls + Good moderated servers = Better TT, not worse.

Yea, only Vets and well behave folks! Make for some real fun games!

You realize that...is not completely correlated.

There have still been imposters even without the SW servers (granted, and thank god, there's been less... But the problem is still here).

Anyway...

SW servers are very important for the ThinkTanks community, whether we all want to admit it or not. They provide people who want to try out the game a place to do so without the delay of having to download maps. In fact, it was in a SW server that I first learned about PTT (and how to get into some of the non-SW servers). If all the new-blood has to go into private servers there are some pros and cons about that... Which I won't get into since I'm tired and I don't want to type @_@
SW servers or at the very least "generic" servers which have rotations without modded maps are important. Sure there are alot of idiots (but there always are in every game), but then think of all the good new players we're getting from the servers (myself included since I used to play alot in SW servers).

Well that's my 2cents on *that* little issue....

My 2cents on the TT going down hill.... You're paranoid.

Thank you feathers. Also, there are many people who only have a decent ping in the SW servers.

Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 12:42:32 PM

Ah thanks CB
Hmm on SW site says there are 65 players in game
So many Demos?
Or has anyone tried IP Joiner to access them?

Makes me wonder whats the real deal at BT and SW

Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 1:35:37 PM

^They must count the bots. And yes, how hard would it be for GG to slap up an Indy BM and Scrum server for demos?

TT is officially off the radar. :o

Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 2:11:52 PM

What's the IP of the SW servers?

Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 4:32:10 PM

Wow
