if there was it would be (iread this online) Luke establishes a base on Yavin 4 and he is coloniel and there is bad dudes also.

I heard he isn't going to make them, but he did do a lot of the work for the stories.

When Lucas did the movie back in '77, he said it was the middle story of three trilogies. He started with 4, 5, and 6. Then he did the prequels, 1, 2, and 3. He also developed episodes 7, 8, and 9.

I haven't read all the plot synopses, but I did know that there were 9 episodes planned originally. I doubt Lucas will ever do another, but that doesn't mean someone else couldn't. If they do more, I hope the quality stays at least as good as 4, 5, and 6. 1 and 2 were pretty bad. #3 was well done, though.

I was always interested in seeing all 9 made, but after the prequels I'm not so enthusiastic. After skimming the synopses of 7-9, I'm still not sold. Can someone tell me where the Dark Jedi came from? Defectors from Luke's training? Are they Sith? Doesn't seem like it, so it looks like Lucas is already on track to screw up the franchise some more.

I was talking about the Star Wars series with my wife after seeing Sith (the best of the prequels) and we came up with the idea of other movies set in the Star Wars universe, but not necessarily in sequence with the 6 already out. Our best idea centered around Han Solo & Chewbacca. How they met, their relationship with Lando (and winning the Falcon) and how Han ended up with a bounty on his head from Jabba. Maybe a movie with Boba Fett. Basically spin-offs that stand on their own.

Ok, I am the StarWars freak here, so here is the info. There will be movies 7,8,and 9, but they may or may not be directed by George Lucas, that is yet to be decided. Also, they have not released what the movies will be based on, but they will undoubtably be based on some of the books that comes after movies 4,5, and 6. These are my two guesses as to what the movies will be: The Warlords of the Imperials (the guys who take over the Imperial Empire after Darth Sidous(the Emporer/Supreme Chancellor) is killed), or it will be The Yuuzhan Vong Wars (lots of action in these, an alien race from outside the galaxy tries to take over the New Republic). NOTE: these are in books as of right now, so they both do exist, and I suggest reading them.
